From staff reports

LEWISTOWN — A 56-year-old man is being held in Mifflin County Correctional Facility after police said surveillance footage

John Elvin Frymyer, of Lewistown, was arraigned Wednesday before Magisterial District Judge Craig Weston on charges of felonies, burglary, criminal trespass; two misdemeanor counts of theft by unlawful taking, two misdemeanor counts of receiving stolen property, one count of misdemeanor indecent exposure and one count of summary criminal mischief.

According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, Granville Township Police Department responded to the report of a missing Dewalt 20V hammer drill Tuesday morning from a residence on the 5800 block of state Route 103 north, which is connected to Angelo’s Hollow Inn.

The report states the victim knows Frymyer and has video of him on security camera walking around the property. The victim said they went outside between 11:30 p.m. and 12:30 a.m. the night before and noticed the door was open, but said they thought they had forgotten to close it.

The report says the victim noticed Tuesday that the drill that was in their home was missing. When reviewing security footage, the victim said they saw Frymyer walking down the stairway with something under his shirt. The report states Frymyer then walked around the back side of Angelo’s Hollow Inn and was seen on another camera walking around nude with his pants down to his ankles and his genitals exposed. The report says Frymyer put a plastic corrugated drain pipe over the camera, which was partially pulled from the wall.

The report says the victim also found a black V2100 mountain bike outside their residence that did not belong to them.

A second victim, who also lives at the residence, told police he was missing the key fob to his vehicle. The second victim said the key fob was hanging inside the door of the residence near the drill that was missing.

A police report from Granville Township police further states that a search warrant for Frymyer’s residence was issued and the drill was located.

Frymyer is held in Mifflin County Correctional Facility, unable to post $100,000 bail. He is awaiting a preliminary hearing set for 9 a.m. Aug. 20.
