LEWISTOWN — After much consideration, the AAA Lewistown Branch decided that it will close its doors, according to a news release from the agency.

Despite the AAA building closure, AAA services will continue to be conveniently available to Lewistown customers online at AAA.com and by phone.

AAA is “dedicated to meeting members where they meet us,” as the company said in its official public statement.

The decision was made to close the Lewistown branch at 33 N. Brown St., effective Aug. 15 because more AAA members in Lewistown prefer to connect online, via mobile app, or by phone.

Customers will still be able to use all the benefits of their memberships including roadside assistance, travel services, insurance, financial products, discounts, and rewards partners.

AAA shared that it is “committed to being the unwavering partner on the road of life” and will continue to be an integral part of the Lewistown community.

AAA Central Penn has travel advisors and insurance agents available by phone or video chat. If preferred, travel advisors can also meet in person at any other AAA location.

Visit the official website at AAA.com/Lewistown for more information on all the convenient ways to continue to access your valued AAA benefits and services.

Starting at $2.99/week.
