The Juniata Terrace Borough invited residents and community members to Lewistown Alliance Church on Aug. 16 to enjoy a day of vendors, activities and more.

LEWISTOWN — The Juniata Terrace has survived the great depression, major wars, its sale by the American Viscose, its closing after the flood in ’72, and the major fire in 2014. Today, it flourishes for one reason, its residents.

The Juniata Terrace Borough will host a fun filled event on Aug. 16 to celebrate the community’s 100 years of triumph and growth.

The Borough invites residents and community members to Lewistown Alliance Church to enjoy more than 40 vendors.

This celebration begins at 10 a.m. and attendees may visit other vendors and engage in activities on the Terrace Tigers Football Field behind Wilson’s Meats.

Various food trucks including Hawstone Winery, Danny’s Bar-B-Q, Twin Kiss, Gridiron Pizza, Bubbles and Batter, Dinner with Dauberts and the Grilled Cheezery will offer food and drink options.

Summit Early Learning will also attend to provide details to those interested, and Keystone Football and Cheer will be available to answer any sign up questions and more.

Kids can join in the fun with free crafts and games along with a bounce house and blow up obstacle course.

Attendees may also take part in a reptile show and a cornhole tournament.

Starting at $2.99/week.
