In their own words…
LEWISTOWN –± Mifflin County School District Superintendent of Schools Vance Varner wanted to hear feedback from Friday night’s inaugural game at Kish Bank Field at Donald M. Chapman III Stadium at the Husky Multi-Sports Complex in Lewistown.
So he asked administrators and other school officials to share what stood out in their minds from the spectacular event. Here’s some of what they had to say:
•”Three different physically handicapped individuals expressed their appreciation for the handicapped accessibility the new stadium has, as compared to Mitchell Field. Handicapped accessibility has been vastly improved with the new facilities.”
•”The overwhelming support of the community was impressive. It was great seeing everyone wearing their Husky gear, and the atmosphere was electric before the game even started.”
•”It was very impressive when the cheerleaders and student section went onto the field to line up, creating a passage for the football team to run through. The band was playing in the stands, and there was a packed stadium cheering for the Huskies during pregame!”
•”This new era is something that every Mifflin County resident can be proud of.”
•”Perfect evening for the students, parents, fans and our community.”
•”It was exciting to see the community support and turnout at the game.”
“It was a packed house for our football team and marching band. People loved the flickering of the lights after we scored a touchdown.”
•”The facility will benefit our students and community for generations to come.”
•”The atmosphere was incredible. The football players, cheerleaders, band members, and students in attendance were so excited to be part of the opening night. There was so much excitement in the air.”
•”A curious and excited crowd of proud Mifflin County High School supporters packed the stadium Friday evening and were treated to the unveiling of a beautiful modern venue and a great win by the Huskies.”
•”It was a tremendous day for the Mifflin County School District and the entire community.”
