Open house slated Aug. 13

LEWISTOWN — The Mifflin County School District announced in a letter that band students as well as athletic programs are now using the upgraded facilities at the Mifflin County Husky stadium.

The district is offering a special open house event for families to check out the new facilities slated for 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 13.

British Car festival slated Aug. 23, 24

ALTOONA — The Central Pennsylvania British Car Club, Inc. of Altoona will hold its 31st Annual British Car Festival, Aug. 23 and 24.

This year’s event includes John Twist of University Motors. Registration/check-in will be held Aug. 22 at The Altoona Grand Hotel

The car show, open to the public, will be held at Lakemont Park from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 24.
