DeLauter Youth Center holding
back to school supplies event
MIFFLINTOWN — The Paul W. DeLauter Youth Center, located at 337 Washington Ave., Mifflintown, will be giving away free school and personal items for Juniata County School District students in third through 12th grade from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 12, and Thursday, Aug. 14. This event is for youth interested in attending the youth center for the 2025-26 season.

to host National Night Out on Tuesday
THOMPSONTOWN — Kids activities, food and drinks will highlight the Thompsontown Volunteer Fire Co.’s National Night Out from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the fire station, located at 55 State St., Thompsontown. Local first responders will also be featured.

assortment of items for sale
MIFFLINTOWN — The Juniata County School District has an assortment of miscellaneous items available for sale, including shop equipment, kitchen equipment, walk-in freezer doors, a single-man high lift, furniture, three-phase kitchen equipment, freezer doors with frame, small hunting stands, chicken house with run, dog box, student desk, wooden chairs, small refrigerator, weight lifting equipment, metal ductwork, kiln, shop equipment, couch, recliner, large garden hoses, file cabinet and much more. Items may be viewed and sealed bids must be received on Wednesday from noon to 5 p.m. at Tuscarora Junior High School, 3873 William Penn Highway, Mifflintown.
