It wouldn’t be Labor Day without a cookout with some burgers and dogs on the grill, and that’s exactly what you’ll find at the Walking Free Clubhouse in Middleburg.
The recovery resource center, located at 8183 Route 522 in Middleburg, is hosting a Labor Day Cookout from 3 to 7 p.m. on Monday. The menu will include cheeseburgers, hot dogs, barbecue, picnic salads and more. There will also be cornhole games and a campfire. Everyone is welcome to attend.
The center will also hold its Second Annual Recovery Walk, starting at 11 a.m. on Sept. 6 on the Middleburg Carnival Grounds.
For more information, find the Walking Free Clubhouse on Facebook.
In Juniata County, the 171st Juniata County Fair opens on Saturday and runs through Saturday, Sept. 6. The fair, held at the fairgrounds in Port Royal, is dedicated to preserving and promoting agriculture while providing educational, social, cultural and economic opportunities for our community. Since the first fair in 1852, the Juniata County Fair has created a fun, family-friendly environment where traditions thrive and memories are made.
