The Sixth Annual Dewey Hill Benefit is slated for 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday on Dewey Hill Road in Thompsontown, supporting local resident Rhoda Trevitz, who lost everything in a house fire then had her husband, Buck, pass away. Proceeds from a cornhole tournament and benefit dinner will help Trevitz ease her financial burden. Registration for the cornhole tournament starts at 11 a.m., with bags flying at 1 p.m. Partners are randomly drawn and boards will be provided. Cost to enter is $10. At noon, the meal will be served and costs a $15 donation. The meal will include barbecue chicken, pulled pork, macaroni and cheese, French fries, baked beans, coleslaw and a drink. Every meal ticket will be entered into a drawing for a $100 Bass Pro gift card. There will also be a Chinese auction and raffles throughout the day. You must be present to win.
