Man jailed for illegal sale of firearm
McVEYTOWN — On Wednesday, July 16, officers from Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown were notified of an illegal firearm sale/transfer around 1 p.m.
The individual was identified and a warrant was issued and the unnamed 47-year-old McVeytown man was taken into custody and is being housed at the Mifflin County Correctional Facility.
Man arrested for public drunkenness
LEWISTOWN — According to a report issued by Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown, a 64-year-old male, of Lewistown, was seen by troopers stumbling along the roadway of Roundhouse Road, Granville Township around 7 p.m. on Sunday, July 20.
Officers determined Lloyd Bishop was under the influence of alcohol and issued a non traffic citation through District Court and released to a family member.
Mount Union man facing DUI charges
McVEYTOWN — On Friday, June 20, Pennsylvania State Police at Lewiston conducted a traffic check point on US Highway 522 South, Oliver Township, when they came upon a 2009 Honda Odyssey at around 11 p.m. Officers found the driver Braelin Swope, 20, of Mount Union, to be under the influence of marajunana. Swope was charged through District Court.
