Burnham man arrested on active warrant
BURNHAM — Ryan Fultz, 29, of Burnham, was taken into custody for an active warrant with commitment at 9:14 p.m. on July 18, according to a release issued by the Mifflin County Regional Police Department on Saturday. Officers arrived at a residence on Sixth Avenue in Burnham, located Fultz and took him into custody, the report said.
2 jailed following domestic dispute
YEAGERTOWN — Quinn Nichols, 27 and Alexandra Samarcelli, 29, both of Yeagertown, were transported to the Mifflin County Correctional Facility after a domestic dispute on Clover Avenue in Yeagertown at 10:31 p.m. on July 11, according to a release issued by the Mifflin County Regional Police Department on Saturday. Upon arrival, officers observed screaming and heard loud bangs coming from inside the residence, the report said, and another officer also observed a broken window to the front of the residence. Another officer walked around back and observed a shirtless male, identified as Nichols walking out of the residence, who had several cuts, bite marks and bruises on his body. He was also carrying an ammo box with him, which was later found to contain a large amount of methamphetamine, the report said. Samarcelli then exited the residence and began yelling at the officers and Nichols, the report said, and officers arrested Samarcelli for domestic violence. Samarcelli resisted officers as they attempted to place her in hand cuffs, and she kicked one officer in the leg, the report said. Officers eventually found a large amount of methamphetamine, suspected fentanyl, suspected acid strips, multiple pill capsules containing a white powder and several drug paraphernalia items inside the box.
Altoona woman charged with public drunkenness
BURNHAM — A 47-year-old Altoona woman was charged with public drunkenness, false identification and false police reports after she falsely reported to the Mifflin County Regional Police Department that someone “slashed her tire” at the Steelworker Tavern, 13 N. Walnut Street in Burnham, according to a release issued on Saturday. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with a female sitting outside of the Steelworker, who identified herself as Dawn Foust, the report said, but upon further investigation, it was found that the individual’s first name was really Carla and she had given officers a false identification. It was also found that she was intoxicated and that no one had “slashed” her tire, police said, and Foust had hit a curb after leaving the Steelworker and blew the tire. Foust was taken into custody and transported to the Mifflin County Correctional Facility in Lewistown.
Port Royal man cited for driving violations
PORT ROYAL — Mifflin County Regional Police Department officers were conducting speed enforcement on Dry Valley Road in Derry Township at 8:55 a.m. on July 15, when they observed a Dodge Dakota travelling 64 miles per hour in a posted 35 mph zone, according to a release issued on Saturday. Officers initiated a traffic stop and identified the driver as Jessie Lauglin-Henry, 29, of Port Royal, the report said, and Laughlin-Henry’s license was suspended. He was cited for speeding and driving while suspended, the report said.
