Teens cited for running away from home

MIFFLINTOWN — On Wednesday, June 25, Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown received a call around 9:45 p.m. that two boys had run away from their home on Cuba Mills Road.

The report states that a 17-year-old and a 15-year-old, both of Mifflintown, were found by officers and cited for their actions.

Lewistown man charged with DUI

McVEYTOWN — James Swartz, 25, of Lewistown was pulled over by Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown on Saturday, May 31, around 6:30 p.m. for a traffic violation on the first block of River Road, Monroe Township.

According to the report, officers found Swartz to be operating the 2001 Volkswagen Beetle under the influence of alcohol.

Swartz was charged through the District Court.

Teen charged with drug possession

LEWISTOWN — According to a report filed by Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown, officers pulled over a 2011 Gray BMW on Sunday, July 6, around 11:30 a.m. due to traffic violations that took place on the 500 block of Parcheytown Road, Derry Township.

Once stopped, the officer observed the operator, Kaleb Leach, 19, of Lewistown, in possession of a small amount of marijuana.

Leach was charged through Magisterial District Judge Jonathan Reed.
