Middleburg man sentenced for intent to distribute methamphetamine

MIDDLEBURG — A 47-year-old Middleburg man was sentenced to more than 15 years in prison by Chief United States District Judge Mattheww W. Brann for possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine.
Jeffrey Snyder, according to Acting United States Attorney John Gurganus, led Pennsylvania State Police officers on a 90-mile-an-hour chase through Union and Snyder counties on April 8, 2024. When Snyder was finally arrested, he possessed approximately 376 grams of methamphetamine, $1,390.40 in cash, was driving a stolen vehicle, and had a loaded, stolen revolver in the driver’s side door. Snyder pleaded guilty on March 6, 2025.
This case is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods, a program bringing together all levels of law enforcement and the communities they serve to reduce violent crime and gun violence, and to make our neighborhoods safer for everyone. On May 26, 2021, the Department launched a violent crime reduction strategy strengthening PSN based on these core principles: fostering trust and legitimacy in our communities, supporting community-based organizations that help prevent violence from occurring in the first place, setting focused and strategic enforcement priorities, and measuring the results.
The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Assistant U.S. Attorney Robin Zenzinger prosecuted the case.
