Green industry updates and pesticide credits offered via Penn State webinars

UNIVERSITY PARK — Green industry professionals have the chance to learn the latest information on pest, disease and weed management, and earn Pennsylvania pesticide recertification credits, by attending webinars hosted by Penn State Extension.

The “Green Industry Update” series will include the following webinars:

• “Woody Plants,” 1-2 p.m. Aug. 19.

• “Core Training,” 1-2 p.m. Aug. 26.

• “Turf,” 1-2 p.m. Sept. 2.

• “Right-of-Way Plant Invaders,” 1-2 p.m. Sept. 9.

Participants can earn pesticide applicator recertification credits in various categories from the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture.

Each webinar carries a registration fee of $10. Registration deadlines vary by event. Registration is required to receive links to access the webinars. A link to the recorded webinar will be emailed to registrants within 10 business days after the live event. Participants can access the recording for six months from the event date.
