Climb the highest mountain

Submitted photo
Kimberly Jacko stretches during a break on a recent hike.

Lewistown resident Kimberly Jacko attempted the second half of the 2,100 mile public footpath northbound during the last week of March to complete the remainder of a fourth national scenic trail. She had already completed the Arizona National Scenic Trail, Pacific Crest Trail and the Florida Trail. Some of my Jacko’s most memorable 4,000-footer climbs were in the Bigelow Preserves, Spaulding and Saddleback Mountains, Mount Moosilauke, the Presidential Traverse with Mount Washington 6,288 feet, the Wildcats, as designated steepest mile on the Appalachian National Scenic Trail, and passages between Franconia and Grafton Notches.

Starting at $2.99/week.
