JVB welcomes facilities manager

MIFFLINTOWN — Juniata Valley Financial Corp. , parent company of The Juniata Valley Bank, announces the hiring of Andrew Socie Jr as the facilities manager.

Socie graduated from Michigan State University with an associate’s degree in Sports Turf and Golf Course Management and has obtained an associate’s degree in Electrical Technology from Penn College of Technology. For the past 17 years, Andrew has been employed with the Huntingdon Area School District as the Building and Grounds Director. He joins Juniata Valley Bank with both hands-on and administrative experience, including the supervision of construction projects and direct work in electrical, plumbing, and HVAC maintenance.

Socie is a member of the School Facilities Manager Association of Central PA and previously a GCSAA Certified Golf Course Superintendent, and a Certified Master Gardener in Michigan and Florida. He resides in McVeytown with his wife, LeAnn and has a daughter, Lindsey and grandson, Andrew.

JVB promotes branch administrator

MIFFLINTOWN — Juniata Valley Financial Corp., parent company of The Juniata Valley Bank, announces the promotion of Dana Hill from customer service representative/head teller to branch operations administrator.

Hill began her banking career as a teller at The Juniata Valley Bank’s Water Street office in 1997. She was promoted to head teller in 2002 and was promoted to CSR/Head Teller in 2016.

Hill’s strong operational knowledge, and her ability to connect with coworkers, will contribute to her success in this critical new role.

Hill, her husband, Bryan and son Colin reside in McVeytown. In her free time, Dana enjoys reading, and spending time with family and friends.
