105 years of Belleville Fireman’s Festival fun

BELLEVILLE- The annual Belleville Fireman’s Festival is returning July 31, Aug. 1 and 2 for the estimated 105th year of entertainment.

“I always say people can expect the three “F’s”- fun, food, and fellowship,” said Festival Chairmen, Kendrick Zook. “A lot of people who have moved out of town return each year for the festival.”

Friday evening there will be a chicken barbeque available and Saturday will offer a chicken corn soup meal as well as a parade starting at 5 p.m.

The parade will begin at the Locust Grove Mennonite Church and travel down Main Street ending at the festival grounds located at Union Park.

There will also be live entertainment each evening. Reboot will be playing on Thursday, Chris Woodward and Shindiggin will perform on Friday and on Saturday Velveeta will take the stage.

There will also be a number of carnival games available for young children to enjoy as well as food vendors, adding a little something for everyone with all proceeds benefiting the fire company.

“We hope for a successful festival, as this is our biggest fundraiser of the year, so that we may have the funds to continue serving the community,” shared Zook.

People can arrive as early as 6 p.m. on Thursday and 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. It is asked that you kindly leave all pets at home.

Starting at $2.99/week.
