Lewistown man arrested with active arrest warrant for failure to respond
LEWISTOWN — A 35-year-old Lewistown man was arrested by Lewistown Police Department officers after they discovered he had an active arrest warrant for failure to respond to a summons related to resisting arrest at 12:04 a.m. on June 6, according to a release issued on Friday. Officers were following a vehicle on West Fifth Street in Lewistown that was registered to Coty Breon when they ran the registration on the vehicle. Breon was stopped, taken into custody without incident and lodged in the Mifflin County Correctional Facility in Lewistown.

strangulation, harassment
LEWISTOWN — Tyler M. Hess, 30, of Lewistown, was charged with strangulation (F2), simple assault, and harassment after Lewistown Police Department officers responded to North Wayne Street in Lewistown for a domestic assault at 1:49 a.m. on June 6, according to a release issued on Friday. A female stated that she was struck
20 times by Hess, who fled the residence prior to police arriving on the scene, the report said. The female had injuries and was bleeding, the report said. The female also said Hess placed his hand over her mouth and nose to prevent her from screaming during the assault, restricting her ability to breathe, the report said. Officers located Hess at a residence on South Pine Street, wearing the same clothes described by the female, the report said. Hess had an injury on his chin and denied striking the female, the report said. Hess was taken into custody and lodged in the Mifflin County Correctional Facility in Lewistown.
Three from Lewistown cited for disorderly conduct after fight on West Fourth Street
LEWISTOWN — Lewistown Police Department officers responded to the 100 block of West Fourth Street in Lewistown at 6:06 p.m. on June 10 for a report of an active fight involving several individuals, according to a release issued on Friday. Officers interviewed subjects involved, including two different groups of juveniles who reside on this block had an altercation, the report said. Ricky Jenkins Jr., 34, of Lewistown, was summoned by his child’s mother, Sarah Butler, 33, of Lewistown. Selina Babcock, 27, of Lewistown, drove Jenkins to that location where they confronted the parents of one of the juveniles in front of their residence, the report said. Jenkins reportedly pointed his fingers like a gun and made a threat to another male, the report said. A female got in between them and was attacked by Babcock and Butler, the report said, as the female was struck several times and had scratches all over her. When officers arrived, Jenkins and Babcock were still stopped in the middle of the road blocking traffic, the report said. Officers stopped them as they attempted to drive away, and Butler, Babcock and Jenkins Jr. were cited each for disorderly conduct, the report said.
Mifflintown man cited for disorderly
conduct after argument at Rec Park Pool
LEWISTOWN — Lewistown Police Department officers were summoned to the Rec Park Pool in Lewistown for a heated argument between two parties at 2:36 p.m. on June 11, according to a release issued on Friday. Officers stopped one vehicle leaving the area, while another officer spoke with pool staff and attendees, the report said. It was reported that two parties at the pool exchanged words when one of the parties was leaving, the report said. During that time, Josue Acevedo-Soto, 37, of Mifflintown, exited his vehicle and began yelling obscenities threatening to slap a female, the report said. Acevedo was being cited for disorderly conduct, the report said.
Area man jailed for Maryland warrants, charged as fugitive from justice
LEWISTOWN — Joseph Gregory White, 57, address unknown, was arrested by Lewistown Police Department officers after they found himself inside a condemned building on the 500 block of South Main Street in Lewistown at 9:39 p.m. on June 11, according to a release issued on Friday. Officers responded to that area for a report of trespassing as there were no trespassing signs at a residence, the release said. Officers knocked loudly and made several announcements before entering the building where they located White, the report said. White had several warrants for his arrest issued out of Maryland, the report said, and was lodged in the Mifflin County Correctional Facility in Lewistown and charged as a fugitive from justice. He was also charged with trespassing, the report said.
Two Lewistown men taken into custody after call about stolen mountain bike
LEWISTOWN — Lewistown Police Department officers were dispatched to the 100 block of North Grand Street in Lewistown for a report of a stolen gas-powered mountain bike at 7:04 a.m. on June 12, according to a release issued on Friday. During their investigation, officers contacted David S. Pierce, 55, of Lewistown, who officers discovered had a bench warrant for failing to pay on previous criminal charges, the report said. Pierce was taken into custody and jailed in the Mifflin County Correctional Facility in Lewistown, the report said. During the same call, officers also had contact with David S. Police: Allegation being filed to
juvenile for receiving stolen property
LEWISTOWN — At 4:30 p.m. on June 12, Lewistown Police Department officers received a report from the
100 block of West Third Street in Lewistown that a resident’s bicycle was stolen, according to a release issued on Friday. Shortly after reporting this theft, the owner was at the Rec Park and observed a juvenile neighbor riding their bicycle, the report said. The juvenile said that someone gave the juvenile the bike, the report said, but when officers responded to the park, the juvenile threw the bike down, said a friend gave it to them and walked out of the park. The juvenile was well-known to officers and has previously been charged relating to bicycle thefts, the report said. A juvenile allegation is being filed to the juvenile for receiving stolen property, the report said.
Police remind public about scams after subject scammed while paying rent
Lewistown Police Department officers received a report at 6:15 p.m. on June 3 that a subject sent nearly $800 in Bitcoin to a subject believing they were renting an apartment, according to a release issued on Friday. Upon visiting the apartment, the victim learned that the subject online had no connection with the apartment and the posting was a fraud, the report said.
Juniata Terrace man arrested for prothonotary warrant
Jason Heimbach, 30, of Juniata Terrace, was arrested on a prothonotary warrant by Lewistown Police Department officers, who observed Heimbach on West Charles Street in Lewistown at 7:38 p.m. on June 3, according to a report issued on Friday. Heimbach lodged in Mifflin County Correctional Facility in Lewistown.
