Selinsgrove man faces life in prison

MIDDLEBURG — A Selinsgrove man found guilty of first-degree murder was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole Monday in the Snyder County Courthouse.

According to Snyder County District Attorney Heath W. Brosius, Brad A. Bailor, 35, was tried before the Honorable Senior Judge Harold F. Woelfel Jr., who also found him guilty of third-degree murder and possession of an instrument of a crime for the April 18, 2022 murder of his wife, Leslie (Hannon) Bailor.

Brosius said in his release that Bailor shot and killed his wife in their home in Selinsgrove.

The sentence followed a one-and-a-half day non-jury trial in Snyder County Court.

“My personal thanks to the family of the victim in this case, their strength, perseverance, and patience throughout this two-year long search for justice is inspiring,” said Brosius. “This conviction was a culmination of very professional work on behalf of everyone involved. It began with the great work of the Pennsylvania State Police, the vital assistance of municipal police and first responders, the hard work of the District Attorney’s Office staff, and the guidance of then-DA Michael Piecuch prior to his appointment to the bench.”
