Lewistown woman faces prostitution charges

From Staff Reports

LEWISTOWN — A 52-year-old woman is facing charges following an FBI human trafficking investigation.

Lisa A. Hernandez, of Lewistown, was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Kent Smith Thursday on charges of soliciting a prostitute.

According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, an operation was conducted with FBI State College, FBI Williamsport and Mifflin County Regional Police in an attempt to identify and locate human trafficking victims in Mifflin County through covert online chatting. The operation was conducted in coordination with the Holiday Inn Express in Reedsville.

The report states that a FBI Task Force Officer responded to an online advertisement on MegaPersonals in July. Police said the phone number attached to the advertisement linked Hernandez to the advertisement.

A preliminary hearing is set for 9 a.m. Dec. 20.

Starting at $2.99/week.
