One driver cited in crash
MIFFLINTOWN — Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown responded to the report of a crash that occurred on state Route 35 north, just north of its intersection with Industrial Park Road, Fermanagh Township at about 4:15 p.m., Sept. 30.
Police said a 2017 Ford Focus driven by 19-year-old Darren Zeigler, of Mifflintown, was traveling south and had stopped due to another vehicle stopping.
The report states that a 2013 Ford Taurus driven by 29-year-old Levi T. North, of Milroy, was behind Zeigler’s vehicle and failed to stop in time. The Ford Focus sustained minor damage and the Taurus sustained disabling damage.
Neither driver was injured and both drivers were wearing their seat belts.
One vehicle towed in Terrace crash
JUNIATA TERRACE — Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown responded to the report of a crash that occurred on Delaware Avenue, Juniata Terrace Borough.
Police said the crash occurred about 50 feet west of state Route 103 north as a 2014 Jeep Patriot driven by 33-year-old Ashlet Murphy, of Lewistown, was traveling east on Delaware Avenue. Police said a 2013 Ford Ford F-150 driven by 64-year-old Roger Harlan, of Port Royal failed to yield to Murphy’s vehicle, backing into the Jeep.
Police said the Jeep sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. The Ford sustained minor damage.
Police said Harland, Murphy and a 9-year-old passenger were wearing seat belts.
Junction Fire Co., FAME EMS and Parson’s Towing assisted at the scene.
Police respond to drug possession at JHS
MIFFLINTOWN — Pennsylvania State Police responded to the report of a Juniata High School student in possession of drugs at about 1:15 p.m. Tuesday.
Police said the incident involved a 16-year-old Thompsontown student.
