Seal coating project pushed to June 7, 8
LEWISTOWN – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has rescheduled roadway seal coating on Green Avenue in Lewistown and will now perform the work on Wednesday and Thursday, June 7 and 8. This change from June 5 and 6 was made due to high school graduation activities at Mitchell Field.
Crews will seal coat on Route 2004 (Green Avenue) between Main Street and Kishacoquillas Street in Lewistown Borough. This work will be performed by Mifflin County PennDOT Maintenance and will take place from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.
Parking along Route 2004 will likely be impacted during this seal coating operation. Additionally, motorists should be alert for this moving operation and allow for possible, short travel delays.
Seal Coating will improve the roadway surface and extend the useful life of the roadway.
PennDOT reminds drivers to use caution, obey posted speed limits and always buckle up.
