Police: Armed man crashed car, fled

ALLENSVILLE — A State College man led police on a search after authorities said he crashed a vehicle in the area of the 100 block of Main Street, Menno Township, brandished a handgun, then fled on foot.
Alrick Delroy Manning Jr., 28, was arraigned on charges of aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, accident involving damage to property and related offenses.
A news release from police says the suspect, Manning, is a black, non-hispanic man who brandished a handgun prior to fleeing on foot from the scene.
Emergency responders issued a “shelter in place” Thursday morning for nearby residents and Main Street was closed for several hours.
Authorities said the scene was clear by about 10 a.m. and that Manning was arraigned at about 6 p.m.
