Del. resident charged in drug violation

LEWISTOWN — Lewistown Police Department was dispatched to a parking lot in the 200 block of Shaw Avenue for a complaint of an odor of drugs coming from a vehicle.

Officers located the vehicle and detected an “overwhelming odor of marijuana” coming from the vehicle. Keila Burgos, 28, was sitting at the driver”s wheel. A 17-year-old was in the passenger seat. Burgos admitted to possessing a bag of marijuana that she purchased from Washington, D.C. The 17-year-old had a large water bong smoking device between his feet.

Police said Burgos admitted to having a loaded handgun in the vehicle and that she did not have a concealed carry permit. Officers located several other used smoking devices and a digital scale in the vehicle.

Burgos was arrested for possessing a firearm without a conceal carry permit, corruption of minors and various drug violations.
