¯Bicycle theft — between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. June 20 — Police are investigating the theft of a black 26-inch, 10-speed Trex Avalanche bicycle. The bike was parked along the garage behind the victim’s residence at 307 Logan St. in Lewistown Borough. The bike has many add-on features, including the word Trex written on the top cross bar, the word Avalanche on the bottom bar, a black seat with a red pinstripe on it, straight handlebars with vertical handles, black hand grips with a red pinstripe, a mirror, a cellphone holder, clip-on pedals and an aluminum kick stand. Anyone with information is asked to call Lewistown Police Department at (717) 248-9607.
¯Dog at large — 8 p.m. June 21 — Owner Briana Marie Bottorf, 27, of Lewistown, was cited for violation of a Lewistown Borough ordinance after allowing her dog to wander on others’ property.
¯Criminal mischief — June 23 — Police said an unknown person(s) were walking along Catherine Street near the intersection with North Walnut Street in Lewistown Borough when the individual(s) broke the rear passenger side window of a parked white Jeep SUV. The case remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call Lewistown Police Department at (717) 248-9607.
¯Theft from motor vehicle — 6 a.m. June 15 — Police responded to reports of theft from motor vehicles at 230 North Walnut St. in Lewistown Borough. Among the items stolen were wallets, IDs, credit cards, cash and prescription sunglasses. The items were taken from two unlocked vehicles. After the initial report, police received word that the stolen credit cards were used to make purchases at two local convenience stores. Police obtained video surveillance of a subject purchasing a carton of cigarettes and then withdrawing more than $500 cash. Police identified the suspect as 24-year-old Tyler Christopher Parson of Lewistown and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On June 23, Parson turned himself in to Lewistown Police Department and was lodged in the Mifflin County Correctional Facility.
¯Harassment — 3:29 p.m. June 22 — Police were dispatched to the Giant supermarket at 200 S. Dorcas St. in Lewistown Borough and discovered Demetri Dyrell Martin entered the store and made threats to an on-duty employee with the intent to cause alarm. Martin was cited for harassment.
¯Narcotics — 8:57 a.m. June 25 — Police were dispatched to 196 S. Main St. in Lewistown Borough and discovered Derrick Lee Gentzel to be in possession of narcotics and drug paraphernalia. Charges against Gentzel have been filed.
¯Warrant service — 8:09 a.m. June 19 — Police arrested 46-year-old Barbara Parson and 44-year-old Randy Hays, both of Lewistown, on the 500 block of East Walnut Street in Lewistown Borough. Hays and Parson both had outstanding arrest warrants.

¯DUI (controlled substance) — 2:38 a.m. June 12 — Police stopped the 2009 Volkswagen Jetta, driven by 41-year-old Michael Bender, of Yeagertown, near the intersection of South Logan Boulevard and West Freedom Avenue in Burnham Borough for summary violations and found him to be under the influence of a controlled substance. Charges for DUI will be filed.
¯Harassment — 7:07 p.m. June 28 — Police issued citations to59-year-old Michael St. Louis, of Mount Union, and 56-year-old Erik Lawrence, of Calvin, after responding to a disturbance at 15 Front Drive in Wayne Township.
¯DUI — 12:26 a.m. May 16 — Police stopped the 2015 Nissan Versa driven by 22-year-old Kacie Bearley, of Port Royal, along Licking Creek Road in Port Royal Borough. Further investigation revealed Bearley was under the influence of a controlled substance and alcohol.
¯Found item — June 21 — Police were contacted about a found black smartphone, which appeared to be in working condition. The phone was found along Cuba Mills Road near the United Methodist Church. The investigation continues.
¯Firearms violation — 12:30 p.m. July 24, 2020 — Police are investigating a firearms violation that occurred on Pine Lane in Decatur Township. The investigation is ongoing.
¯DUI — 11:34 a.m. June 1 — Police are investigating a DUI at Market Street in Port Royal Borough involving a 2009 Chevrolet Malibu and Malibu Max.
¯DUI — 4:16 a.m. June 5 — Police stopped a 2018 Nissan driven by 31-year-old Amanda Berrier, of Mount Union, on state Route 103 South near Jets Lane. Police said Berrier showed signs of being under the influence. The investigation is ongoing.
¯Corruption of minors — 12:01 am. June 23, 2019 to 12:01 a.m. June 23, 2021 — Police received a report of corruption of minors in Turbett Township involving a 17-year-old male from Richfield. No other information was provided by police.
¯Fleeing scene of accident — 4:30 a.m. June 27 — A driver was traveling north on U.S. 522 near the Oliver/Wayne township line just west of Fairview Road when the unknown driver left the roadway, struck a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation road sign and fled the scene traveling north.
¯Crash — 4:46 a.m. June 26 — Police said a 2012 Freightliner tractor-trailer was traveling north on state Route 75 in Lack Township when the vehicle left the roadway just north of Black Bear Lane, sustained minor damage and was able to be driven from the scene. The driver, who was not identified was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, but did not sustain any injuries. The driver was cited in the crash.
¯Identity theft — 12:21 p.m. June 23 — Police said unknown actors opened an unemployment claim using the identity of a 55-year-old woman from Port Royal.
¯Possession of drug paraphernalia — 12:55 p.m. May 19 — Police conducted a traffic stop along U.S. 322 in Fermanagh Township near the Arch Rock Road exit. During the stop, drug paraphernalia was discovered in the 2003 Toyocar van container trailer driven by 24-year-old Deionni Martinez, of Philadelphia. Charges are being filed.
¯Identity theft — 4:18 p.m. June 25 — Police received a report from a 41-year-old man from Monroe Township that an unemployment claim was made by unknown actors using his Social Security number. The investigation continues.
¯Cruelty to animals — 10 a.m. June 8 — Police investigated a dog bit incident at 7639 Ferguson Valley Road in Oliver Township. Police said 40-year-old Xin Miller, of McVeytown was the victim and charges were filed against 46-year-old Steven McKnight, of McVeytown.
¯Protection from abuse order violation — 5:46 p.m. June 13 — Police said 31-year-old Brandon Knepp, of Lewistown, violated a preexisting PFA in Juniata Terrace Borough. Charges have been filed against Knepp.
¯Theft — 6:01 p.m. June 21 — Police said $1,500 cash was taken from a 34-year-old woman in Thompsontown Borough. Police are investigating.
¯Crash — 2:57 p.m. June 24 — Police said a 2014 Nissan Rogue driven by 19-year-old Treonna J. Goodling, of Richfield, was traveling on state Route 333 in Delaware Township when she lost control of her car while negotiating a left curve in the roadway. Goodling’s vehicle traveled off the northern berm, where it struck a road sign and fence posts, before continuing to travel south, rolling over and striking a tree that was laying down prior to coming to rest in a small stream. She was wearing her seat belt at the time of the crash and police said she was transported by Thompsontown Ambulance League to Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center in Camp Hill for treatment of unknown injuries.
¯Theft by deception — 7:12 a.m. June 17 — Police said a 38-year-old Milroy woman advertised a wedding dress for sale via Facebook and sent the dress to an address but never received compensation for it. The dress is valued at $250 and the investigation is continuing.
¯Theft by deception — 9:40 a.m. June 23 — Police said a 60-year-old Thompsontown woman responded to a listing, which appeared to be an eBay listing, for the sale of a camper. Upon making contact with the seller, a transaction was arranged which utilized prepaid eBay cards. The woman subsequently determined the listing to be fraudulent. The investigation is ongoing.
¯Crash — 8:36 a.m. June 16 — Police said a vehicle was traveling east on U.S. 322 in Armagh Township when, while traveling downhill and negotiating a left curve in the roadway, rolled onto its passenger side due to traveling at an excessive speed. The vehicle slid in a southern direction where it struck a sign and embankment prior to coming to rest on the southern side of the roadway. The driver was not transported to any hospital. Police did not identify the driver or vehicle and provided no other details.
¯Assault with weapon — 4:34 p.m. June 13 — Police said a fight took place between a 31-year-old man and a 19-year-old man, both of Lewistown, along Terrace Boulevard in Juniata Terrace Borough.
