Simple Assault-8:58 p.m.-March 15-Lewistown Police department reports responding to a report of a domestic disturbance at an address on Logan Street. Police report that Damian Kuykendall and his live-in girlfriend had been involved in a verbal altercation. During the altercation Kuykendall struck his girlfriend, knocking her to the ground and then kicking her. Kuykendall fled from police as they arrived on the scene. A short time later police took Kuykendall into custody at a residence on W. Fourth Street in Lewistown. Kuykendall was charged with simple assault, flight to avoid apprehension and disorderly conduct.
Loitering and Prowling at Night-10:32 p.m.-March 16- Pennsylvania State Police Selinsgrove report investigating an incident at 3957 Troxelville Road, Centre Township, Snyder County. Police report that unknown actor(s) opened a window to the kitchen of the residence of Shawnee Elizabeth Adamik, 35, of Middleburg. Adamik discharged a firearm scaring off the actor(s). Crash-10:45 a.m.-March 16-Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown report investigating a one-vehicle crash on Route 333, approximately one mile east of Mifflin County in Milford Township, Juniata County. Police report that Shane Workman, 30, of Lewistown, was driving a 2000 Nissan Maxima west on Route 333 when, for unknown reasons, crossed the double yellow center line, crossed the opposite lane of travel and off the south edge of the roadway, striking a utility pole. Workman’s car then spun counter-clockwise and struck an embankment and speed limit sign. No alcohol was involved in the crash.
Identity Theft-9:01 p.m.-March 15-Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown report investigating an incident of identity theft on Deer Trail Run, Decatur Township, Mifflin County. Police report that a 35-year-old Lewistown woman reported family photographs were fraudulently used online. The investigation continues. Criminal Mischief-March 7-March 8- Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown report investigating an incident of criminal mischief at 28 Brandt Drive, Fayette Township, Juniata County. Police report receiving a call from a 63-year-old female to report her car was damaged by unknown actor(s). The investigation continues. Simple Assault/Harassment-5:50 p.m.-March 6-Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown report responding to an incident on Juniata Street at the intersection of Parker Street, Mifflin Borough, Juniata County. Police report that Robin Keith Lease, 45, and Bradley Smouse, 38, both of Mifflin, engaged in a verbal altercation. Lease at some point grabbed Smouse’s shirt. Smouse drew his handgun from his holster and pointed at Lease. Police charged Lease with harassment and Smouse with simple assault.
Disorderly Conduct-2:35 p.m.-March 13-Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown report investigating an incident of disorderly conduct on Main Street in the area of 5th Street, Port Royal Borough, Juniata County. Police report that Craig Anthony Rowles, 38, of Port Royal, was yelling and screaming in public to the point that the police were notified. Charges for disorderly conduct were filed.
Criminal Mischief-10:30 p.m.-January 13-Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown report investigating an incident on Cider Press Road, Academia Road and Walnut Way, Beale Township, Juniata County. Police report that Logan Knepp, 18, of Port Royal, and Andrew Clouser, 19, of Mifflintown, destroyed multiple mailboxes. Police report that during the investigation both men were discovered and subsequently admitted to using a baseball bat to destroy multiple boxes. Both men were charged.
DUI-4:26 p.m.-March 14-Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown report investigating a one-vehicle crash on Route 522 near the intersection of Kearns Road, Decatur Township, Mifflin County. Police report that a 67-year-old female from McClure was traveling north in a 1995 Ford Taurus when she failed to negotiate a right hand curve in the roadway. The car began to spin in a counter-clockwise direction and slid off the west side of the roadway where it struck large rocks in a nearby yard. The investigation indicated the driving was under the influence of alcohol.

DUI – March 5 – Pennsylvania State Police Huntingdon report charging Virginia Huddleston, of Mifflin County, with driving under the influence in Mount Union Borough.
Retail Theft – 9:48 p.m. – March 4 – Pennsylvania State Police Huntingdon report an incident of retail theft at Wal-Mart, Smithfield Township, Huntingdon County. Police report that Leroy Hockenberry and Cody Chilcote, both of Mount Union, stole a television from the store.
Theft by Deception – Dec. 6 – Pennsylvania State Police Selinsgrove report a case of theft at 71 Carousel Drive, Middleburg, Centre Township, Snyder County. Police report that Deborah Lacass, 62, of Middleburg paid a known suspect to perform home repairs. The suspect has not yet performed any repairs. The investigation continues.
Crash – 7:15 p.m. – March 8 – Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown report investigating a crash on U.S. 22 west of the Port Royal exit in Walker Township. Police report that Lester Stover, 56, of Spring Mills, was traveling west on U.S. 22 between the Port Royal exit and Mifflintown exit when Steen Peterson, 62, of Reedsville, was traveling west on U.S. 22 in the left lane actively passing Stover. Stover failed to keep his 2003 Suzuki Esteem in the right lane which caused him to hit Peterson’s 1989 Ford F150. There were no injuries as a result of the crash. Stover was cited.
Crash – 9:20 p.m. – March 16 – Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown report investigating a one-vehicle crash on Fulkroad Road, Fermanagh Township. Police report that David Hampton III, 21, of Mifflintown, was traveling north on Fulkroad Road with passengers Cheyenne Maben, 18, of Thompsontown and Kati Rayson, 18, of Mifflintown, when he left the roadway in his 2004 Dodge Ram and struck a mailbox located at 298 Fulkroad Road which resulted in Hampton losing control of his vehicle. Hampton’s vehicle then crossed the southbound lane of travel and struck an embankment then continued in the southbound lane and struck another embankment. Hampton’s vehicle then overturned and came to a final rest on the driver’s side on the west side of the roadway. Hampton was not wearing a seat belt.
Theft – March 4-9 – Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown report investigating an incident of theft in a wooded area at 744 Little Greenbriar Road, Wayne Township. Police report that a 25-year-old male reported a Moultrie SPIE Trail camera was taken from the Little Greenbriar location. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 320-1010

DUI – 10 p.m. – Feb. 19 – Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown report conducting a traffic stop at 583 Newton Road, Wayne Township, Mifflin County. Police report during the traffic stop it was found that Kaleb Troy Varner, 22, of Newton Hamilton was under the influence of and taken to JC Blair Hospital for a blood draw.
Harassment – 10 p.m. – March 10 – Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown report investigating an incident of harassment at 950 Newton Road, Wayne Township, Mifflin County. Police report that the incident occurred when Lisa Heidel, 51, of Mount Union grabbed a 41-year-old female from McVeytown by her hair and struck her in the face.
Harassment – 8:30 a.m. – March 5 – Pennsylvania State Police Selinsgrove report investigating an incident of harassment at 350 D Edmiston Lane, Spring Township, Snyder County. Police report that Tammy Walter, 45, of Middleburg, and Steven Martin, 22, of Beaver Springs became involved in a fight over a child custody agreement.
Theft by Deception – 1:30-10 p.m. – March 7 – Pennsylvania State Police Newport report being contacted by First National Bank of Mifflintown, Walker Township, Juniata County because of fraudulent envelopes that were placed into an ATM machine and unauthorized transactions occurred. PSP Newport advised PSP Lewistown of the incident. PSP Lewistown will be investigating.
Crash – 2:36 p.m. – March 12 – Pennsylvania State Police Selinsgrove report investigating a crash on Paxtonville Road, near Quarry Road. Police report that Robert Plank, 72, of Middleburg was travelling east on Quarry Road when he traveled through the intersection and attempted to turn right onto Paxtonville Road. Plank failed to make the turn and traveled off the north shoulder and struck a utility pole and continued travelling east on the shoulder. Plank’s vehicle then struck a drainage culvert before coming to rest in a field.
Huffing – 6 p.m. – March 10 – Lewistown Police Department reports arresting Coty LeFevre, 26, of Lewistown, and charged him with “huffing” for illegally inhaling from an aerosol can. LeFevre was placed in the Mifflin County Correctional Facility.
Trespass/Possession – March 11 – Lewistown Police Department reports charging Brandon Kaufman, 33, of Lewistown with defiant trespass and possession of drug paraphernalia after police found him trespassing at a Central Avenue residence.
Assault – March 11 – Lewistown Police Department reports investigating an alleged assault in which a woman reported she was strangled by her boyfriend Victor Mendez-Morales, 31, of Lewistown. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Mendez-Morales who was arraigned before a magisterial district judge and placed in the Mifflin County Correctional Facility in lieu of $5,000 bail.
Possession – March 12 – Lewistown Police Department reports investigating a suspicious male in the area of Depot Street. Police report locating Jeffery Brown, 32, of Houtzdale, and found him to be in possession of illegal drugs. Officers determined Brown had been attempting to sell the drugs. Brown was arrested and charged with illegal drug distribution and attempted drug distribution.
Public Drunkenness – 11:39 a.m. – March 11 – Pennsylvania State Police Huntingdon report investigating an incident of public drunkenness at 130 West Water St. in Mount Union Borough. Police report that Alicia Creswell, 27, of Mount Union was found to be intoxicated.
Possession of Weapon – 10:30 a.m. – March 11 – Pennsylvania State Police Huntingdon report investigating an incident at the Mount Union Area High School, located at 603 N Industrial Drive, Mount Union Borough in which a female juvenile was in possession of a stun gun while on school grounds.
Theft – March 5-March 12 – Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown report that someone entered onto the property of a 64-year-old male at 21769 Route 75 South, Spruce Hill Township and took a game camera valued at approximately $140. The camera is a 6-inch-by-8-inch Moultrie A5. The investigation continues. Anyone with information is asked to contact PSP Lewistown at 320-1010.

Theft of Services-12:19 p.m.-February 24-Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown report that Jason Coppola, 29, of McAlisterville, deposited a bag of refuse into the dumpster of Rosewood Market, Fayette Township, Juniata County.
Disorderly Conduct-4:30 p.m.-March 2-Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown report investigating an incident of disorderly conduct on Brandt Drive, Fayette Township, Juniata County. Police report a 35-year-old male from McAlisterville, a 61-year-old female from Thompsontown, and a 58-year-old female from Thompsontown were engaged in an argument in a public place.
Criminal Mischief-8:30 p.m.-March 3-Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown report an incident of criminal mischief at a residence along Evans Hollow Road, Delaware Township, Juniata County. Police report the incident occurred when Justin Amspacker, 35, of McAlisterville, scratched the vehicle of Althea Souders, 58, of Thompsontown, as it was parked at her residence.
Theft-11:22 a.m.-February 28-Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown report investigating an incident of theft by deception in Decatur Township, Mifflin County. Police report Daisy Haines, 22, of McClure, was scammed out of $1,500 for the purchase of two canines from a private kennel she found on Petfinder.com.
Haines sent money via Western Union and did not receive the canines. After an investigation police found that the transportation company, Pet Moveable Transportation Airlines, used for the transportation of the canines was a fraudulent company.
Act 64-9:45-March 1-Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown report being dispatched to a possible overdose at a residence along state Route 35 in Fermanagh Township, Juniata County. Police report that while at the scene drug paraphernalia and marijuana was found in the residence. Justin Soccio, 36, and Samantha Soccio, 32, both of Mifflintown, were arrested for Act 64 violation.
Criminal Mischief-9 p.m.-February 28-Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown report investigating an act of criminal mischief on 5th Street, Mifflintown Borough, Juniata County. Police report that two juveniles caused a fire that damaged a garage. The investigation continues.
Criminal Mischief-11 p.m.-10 a.m.-February 28-29-Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown report investigating an incident of criminal mischief at 28 Brandt Drive, Fayette Township, Juniata County. Police report that unknown actor(s) used an unknown object to scratch the paint of a vehicle owned by a McAlisterville woman. Anyone with information is asked to contact PSP Lewistown at 320-1010.

Hit and run – 4:34 p.m. – March 1 – Pennsylvania State Police Newport report investigating a one vehicle crash on state Route 34 South at the Bank of Landisburg, Oliver Township, Perry County. Police report John George III, 31, of Port Royal, was traveling south on Route 34 in a 1994 GMC Sierra when he lost control of his vehicle and left the roadway striking the Bank of Landisburg sign. George left the scene of the crash without making proper notifications.
Crash – 6:28 a.m. – Feb. 22 – Pennsylvania State Police Newport report investigating a crash on Spring Road near Old Mill Road, Carroll Township, Perry County. Police report Thomas McCreary, 22, of Dillsburg was traveling south on Spring Road when the breaks on his vehicle locked up and entered the northbound lane. McCreary attempted to get back into the southbound lane when he struck 2014 Jeep driven by Josiah Fosselman, 36, of Millerstown. Neither man was injured as a result of the accident.
Criminal mischief – 8 p.m. – Feb. 19 – Pennsylvania State Police Huntingdon report investigating an incident at 11525 Juniata Ave., Shirley Township, Huntingdon County. Police report a 49-year-old female resident of Mount Union had a 30-by-80-inch steel door damaged at her residence. Burglary – 8 a.m.-noon – Feb. 17 – Pennsylvania State Police Newport report investigating an incident of burglary at the home of Lewis Miller, 80, at 68 N. Market St., Millerstown Borough. Police report that a known suspect entered Miller’s residence and removed various pieces of jewelry. The investigation continues.
Drug paraphernalia – 1 p.m. – Feb. 29 – Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown report that drug paraphernalia was found on Dedra Brought, 21, of East Waterford, during a meeting with Juniata County Probation at its office in Mifflintown Borough.
Drug paraphernalia – 5:13 p.m. – Feb. 23 – Pennsylvania State Police Selinsgrove report that Garrett Davidson Krouse, 22, of Middleburg, was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia at Dime Alley in Monroe Township, Snyder County. Krouse was cited.

Cruelty to Animals-4:30 p.m.-February 24-Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown report investigating an incident of severe neglect of a pet dog on West Main Street, McAlisterville, Fayette Township, Juniata County. Police report a dog owned by a 51-year-old woman was underweight and had open sores that needed medical attention which the owner neglected to provide. The investigation continues.
DUI-3 p.m.-February 24-Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown report responding to a crash at 210 Route 22, Wayne Township, Mifflin County. Police report taking a 60-year-old Mount Union man into custody for suspicion of DUI after having crashed his vehicle into several parked cars at Chilcote’s Auto Sales.
Simple Assault, Burglary-1:45 p.m.-February 14-Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown report investigating an incident at 45 Poplar Street in Mount Union, Wayne Township, Mifflin County. Police report that Jason Lee Banks, 30, kicked open and entered the victim’s residence. Banks then made threats to kill the victim. The victim fled the scene prior to officers arrival. Banks was placed into custody a short time later in Huntingdon County.
Burglary-7 a.m.-3 p.m.-February 17-Pennsylvania State Police Newport report investigating burglaries at two Millerstown residences. Police report that Abbie Showers, 25, of Newport, forcefully gained entry into the homes of a 42-year-old man and an 80-year-old man and removed several items. Showers was charged with two counts of burglary, two counts of criminal trespass and two counts of theft.
Retail Theft-February 16-Pennsylvania State Police Newport report investigating an incident of retail theft at the Nittany Mini Mart in Mount Union. Police report that Brent Frederick, of Mount Union, carried away Slim Jim’s from the store without paying.
Crash-11:05 a.m.-February 24-Pennsylvania State Police Huntingdon report investigating a crash in the Walmart parking lot at 6716 Town Center Blvd, Smithfield Township, Huntingdon County. Police report Robert Wagner, 94, of Huntingdon, was traveling westbound in the parking lot in a 2005 Mercury Grand Marquis when he failed to stay on the right side of the parking lot and struck a 2012 Ford Focus driven by Hope Harman, 29, of Mount Union. Harman’s vehicle sustained disabling side impact damage. Neither operator was injured.
Crash-1 p.m.-February 16-Pennsylvania State Police Huntingdon report investigating a one-vehicle crash on Hill Valley Road north of Valley View Court, Shirley Township, Huntingdon County. Police report Michael Morder, 55, of Mount Union, was traveling southbound on Route 747 in a 2002 Jaguar X Type when he lost control of his car and traveled into the northbound lane and left the roadway. Morder’s vehicle then struck four wooden posts off the roadway, sustaining major damage and a flat tire. Morder then continued to drive to his residence approximately 200 yards away. No injuries were reported.
Crash-1:28 p.m.-February 6- Pennsylvania State Police Huntingdon report investigating a one-vehicle crash on Old 22 Road east of North Jefferson Street, Wayne Township, Mifflin County. Police report James Conway, 63, of Newton-Hamilton, was driving a 1999 Dodge 1500 at the time of the accident. Police said they believe Conway suffered minor injuries in the crash. Conway was charged with failing to drive on roadways laned for traffic.
