Pennsylvania State Police Huntingdon

Burglary – Noon, Nov. 23- 2 p.m., Dec. 17 – Police are investigating a burglary that took place at Hilly Valley Road in Shirley Township, Huntingdon County, according to a report from Pennsylvania State Police Huntingdon.

Three sets of sterling silver diamond earrings were stolen from a 28-year-old female from Mount Union. Anyone with information is asked to call police at (814) 627-2161.

Pennsylvania State Police Rockview

Crash- 6:07 p.m. – Dec. 22 – A two-vehicle crash occurred on U.S. 322 in Potter Township, Centre County, according to a report from Pennsylvania State Police Rockview.

DeeAnn Abrashoff, 47, of Reedsville, was driving a 1995 Chevrolet Geo near Sand Mountain Road when she attempted to pass Katrina M. Earnest, 42, of Milroy, who was driving a 1998 Chrysler Cirrus. Abrashoff lost control of her vehicle and spun around in front of Earnest’s car and the vehicles made impact.

Abrashoff and Earnest were both wearing seat belts. Abrashoff was not injured in the crash and Earnest suffered minor injuries in the crash.

Abrashoff was charged with the crash.

Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown

Hit and Run 12:37 a.m. Dec. 17 Pennsylvania State Police report investigating a hit and run that occurred in the parking lot of Tom’s in Armagh Township.

According to police, the owner of a 2012 Dodge Caravan noticed damaged to the passenger-side fender after returning to their vehicle.

An investigation is ongoing.

Crash 12:19 a.m. Dec. 5 Pennsylvania State Police report investigating a crash on Honey Creek Road in Armagh Township.

According to police, Justin M. Aumiller, 33, of Reedsville, lost control of his Toyota Tacoma and hit a utility pole. The vehicle overturned.

Aumiller sustained minor injuries.

He was charged with a traffic violation.

Crash 5:55 a.m. Dec. 16 Pennsylvania State Police report investigating a crash on William Penn Highway in Walker Township.

According to police, Curtis H. Glendye Jr., 60, of Lewistown, pulled out in front of Robert L. Isenberg, 43, of Mifflintown.

Both operators will be cited for a traffic violation.

Crash- 6:37 a.m.- Dec. 22 – A one-vehicle crash occurred on state Route 75 in Lack Township, Juniata County, according to a report from Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown.

Sierra D. Parson, 22, of East Waterford, was driving a 1994 Dodge Shadow ES south on state Route 75. While negotiating a right curve the vehicle traveled off the right side of the road and hit a tree.

Parson was transported to Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital by a personal vehicle. Parson was wearing a seat belt.

Parson was cited for the crash through Magisterial District Judge Jacqueline T. Leister’s office.

Pennsylvania State Police Newport

DUI 7:05 p.m. Nov. 23 Pennsylvania State Police report investigating a DUI at Dollar General in Newport.

According to police, a 34-year-old woman from Millerstown was taken into custody under suspicion of DUI.

Charges will be filed against her.

Criminal mischief – 2-3:30 p.m. – Dec. 16 – Police are investigating a report of criminal mischief that occurred at 100 Byers road in Greenwood Township, Perry County, according to a report from Pennsylvania State Police Newport.

Mail was taken out of a mailbox belonging to Candace Peck-Hampton, 65, of Millerstown, after it was delivered. Several letters were opened and then dropped on the road by the residence.

Pennsylvania State Police Huntingdon

Retail theft – 11 p.m. – Dec. 19 – Kenneth Odell Simmons III, 19, of Mount Union, was charged with retail theft, according to a report from Pennsylvania State Police Huntingdon.

Simmons went into Wal-Mart and stole a three-pack of condoms, a pair of black gloves, an automotive gas cap, a set of automotive head lights and a folding pocket knife. The total of the stolen items was $65.28.

Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown

DUI – 11:14 p.m. – Dec. 18 – Pennsylvania State Police report investigating a DUI in Lewistown Borough.

According to police, a 53-year-old man, of Lewistown, was driving his vehicle on the railroad tracks that parallel Bridge Street.

The suspect was taken into custody for DUI.

Crash – 2 a.m. – Dec. 20 – Pennsylvania State Police report investigating a crash in Fermanagh Township.

According to police, a Chevrolet Silverado was backed into in the parking lot of McDonald’s. The vehicle responsible fled from the scene.

The suspect would have driver-side front-end damage.

When located, the suspect will receive a citation for careless driving.

Investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Harassment – 9:05 a.m. – Dec. 20 – Pennsylvania State Police report investigating an incident of harassment in Tuscarora Township.

According to police, Jesse Strawser, 25, of Honey Grove, reported being harassed by Shawn Wise, 35, of Honey Grove, at a residence on Chestnut Lane.

Wise will receive a citation for harassment.

Disorderly Conduct – 12:43 a.m. – Dec. 22 – Pennsylvania State Police report investigating an incident of disorderly conduct in Thompsontown Borough.

According to police, Brandon Fohringer, 24, of Port Royal, was caught attempting to cover up a farmer’s lane after doing a burn out on state Route 333 at William Penn Highway.

Fohringer was cited for disorderly conduct and numerous traffic violations.

Pennsylvania State Police Department Huntingdon

Theft – 9:15 p.m. – Dec. 20 – Pennsylvania State Police report investigating a theft at Wal-Mart in Smithfield Township.

According to police, Alisha Ann Williamson, 29, of Newton Hamilton, was caught attempting to take merchandise from Wal-Mart she had not paid for.

Charges are pending.

Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown

Theft – 7 p.m. – 6 a.m. – Sept. 15-16 – State police report investigating a theft which occurred at a residence near Casner’s garage in Fermanagh Township.

According to police, Brandon Bennett, 34, of Mifflintown, had a green John Deere power wheel tractor removed from his porch. The tractor has faded paint, a broken-off hitch, and cracked wheels. Bennett says the tractor was stolen in September, but he only recently informed police about its disappearance.

Investigation is ongoing.

Criminal Mischief – Oct. 31 – Dec. 13 – State police report investigating an incident of disorderly conduct and criminal mischief which occurred on numerous roadways and at a residence in Armagh Township.

According to police, two 17-year old males, of Lewistown, a 17-year old male, of Milroy, and a 16 year-old male and a 17-year old female, both of Reedsville, were involved in throwing eggs at a 37 year-old male’s house in Milroy over a two-month span, once breaking a window.

During the same two-month span, signs in the Milroy/Siglerville area had been vandalized by the suspects.

Thirteen non-traffic citations were filed for the involved parties.

DUI – 9:37 p.m. – Nov. 15 – State police report investigating a report of an intoxicated driver on Route 35, in Fermanagh Township.

According to police, Robert Russell First was intoxicated while driving.

He was charged with a DUI.

Crash – 2:38 a.m. – Nov. 23 – State police report investigating a hit and run which occurred on state Route 22 at Junk for Jims in Mount Union, Wayne Township.

According to police, an unknown male stole a 2004 Chevrolet Z71 pickup truck with PA registration ZFG3220 from the County Line Bar. After the crash, an eye witness followed the stolen vehicle to Dirt Mountain Road.

The truck is believed to be in the area of Trough Creek State Park and Lake Raystown.

Disorderly conduct – 8:00 a.m. – Dec. 19 – State police report investigating an incident of disorderly conduct at Juniata High School.

According to police, two juvenile females were fighting.

Both females were charged with disorderly conduct.

DUI – 1:06 a.m. – Dec. 21 – State police report investigating a DUI suspect found on state Route 22 near the Mifflin/Huntingdon county line.

According to police, a 24-year old male, of Mapleton Depot, was encountered during a traffic stop, and suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol.

Charges are pending upon result of a blood alcohol test.

Granville Township Police Department

Theft – Dec. 17 – Granville Police report investigating the conspiracy theft by Tiernie Sollers, Huntington, and Neal Worthy Jr, Mount Union. Sollers was seen taking unpaid merchandise from Wal Mart, then fled with Worthy in a Chevy Cobalt. Sollers and Worthy were arrested for retail theft, fleeing and eluding, and other traffic violations. Both suspects were arraigned through Magisterial District Judge Jack Miller.

Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown

Theft – 3:22 a.m. – Nov. 30 – Police said Jessica A. Haggas, Mifflin, reported that a 21-year old man from East Waterford had broken into her car. The ignition was tampered with, vomit was on the interior and her debit and medical insurance cards were stolen. The investigation is ongoing.

False Report – 5:30 p.m. – Nov. 18 – Police said Holly Eyerly, 22, of Mount Union told responding officers that a man had struck her in the face during an argument. During a hearing at a later time, Eyerly confessed to providing false information to officers. She was arrested for false reports through district court.

Harassment – 8:30 a.m. – Dec. 17 – A female, 42, and male, 73, both from Milroy, were involved, where the male repeatedly struck the female during a confrontation on Salem Cross Road in Milroy. Charges will be filed through District Judge Hunter’s office.

Theft – Oct. 8 to Nov. 13 – Police said someone from residence 36 Poplar St., Kistler Borough, used 3,300 gallons of water provided by Mount Union Borough Water Works after the water had been shut off.

Theft – Dec. 9 – David Skipper, of 27 High St. in Wayne Township reported his 1984 Dodge truck missing. The truck was discovered crashed in Huntingdon County before Skipper reported it missing. Investigation is ongoing.

Theft – 5 p.m. to 8:30 a.m. – Dec. 10 to Dec. 11 – Police said Paul Renninger, Thompsontown, reported he had tools and cash stolen from his vehicle. Anyone with information regarding this incident is to contact PSP Lewistown at 320-1010.

Fraud – Dec. 17 – Police said Amy Romaine Parsons, Milford Township, reported her credit card missing and someone having used it to make unauthorized purchases. Anyone with information is asked to contact PSP Lewistown at 320-1010.

Granville Township Police Department

Theft – Dec. 4 – Granville Township Police report investigating a theft which occurred at Wal Mart.

According to police, Robert Guthridge Jr., of Lewistown, was seen taking unpaid merchandise from the store.

Guthridge has been charged for felony retail theft and trespassing through District Judge Jack Miller’s office.

Theft – Dec. 6 – Granville Township Police report investigating a theft which occurred at Wal Mart.

According to police, Scott S. Brown, of Lewistown, was seen taking an unpaid television from the store.

Brown has been charged for misdemeanor retail theft through District Judge Jack Miller’s office.

Theft – Dec. 7 – Granville Township Police report investigating a theft which occurred at Wal Mart.

According to police, Joshua Bender, of Lewistown, was seen taking items from their packaging, and leaving the store.

Bender has been given a citation for summary retail theft through District Judge Jack Miller’s office.

Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown

Crash – 6:33 a.m. – Dec. 14 – Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown report investigating a crash which occurred on State route 322 eastbound, Fermanagh Township, Juniata County.

According to police, Robert G. Reed, 38, of Mifflintown, was driving a 2004 Audi A4, traveling east on State route 322, Fermanagh Township, Juniata County. He spotted a deer in the middle of the road, struck the deer, then was able to maneuver his vehicle to the shoulder of the highway.

Reed was wearing his seatbelt and was not injured from the crash.

Harassment – 3:10 a.m. – Dec. 13 – Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown report investigating an incident of harassment which occurred at 53 McDowell Street, Newton Hamilton Borough.

According to police, a 19-year-old male, of McVeytown, struck a 44-year-old male, of McVeytown, two times in the face during an argument. The 19-year-old also damaged a window at the residence of the 44-year-old.

The 19-year-old will be charged with harassment and criminal mischief through district court 58-3-01.

DUI – 1:32 a.m. – Dec. 12 – Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown report investigating a DUI which occurred on Main Street in Armagh Township.

According to police, a 25-year-old male, of Milroy, was encountered and found to be under the influence of alcohol. He was sent to Lewistown Hospital for blood testing.

The investigation is ongoing.

Drug law violation – 8:24 p.m. – Oct. 6 – Police investigated a report of suspicious activity at the tennis courts on Park Street, Mount Union, according to a report from the Mount Union Police Department.

An individual fled from the scene when police arrived and was apprehended a short distance away.

Following an investigation, a 17-year-old Mount Union male was arrested for possession of a small amount of marijuana, flight to avoid apprehension and disorderly conduct.

Suspicious activity – 12:50 a.m. – Oct. 11 – Police encountered an occupied vehicle parked after hours at the Lower Municipal Park in Mount Union, according to a report from the Mount Union Police Department.

It was determined that the occupants were a 16-year-old and a 17-year-old.

Parents were contacted to pick up the children and both children were cited for curfew violations.

Warrant service – 7:55 p.m. – Oct. 11 – Police served warrants for the arrest of Cedric Copeland, 48, of Mount Union, according to a report from the Mount Union Police Department.

Copeland was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia during the arrest.

Copeland was committed to the Huntingdon County Jail.

Criminal trespass – 10:50 p.m. – Oct. 11 – Police patrolling Mount Union Borough property behind Mount Union Cemetery encountered two individuals trespassing, according to a report from the Mount Union Police Department.

David Hamman Jr. 18, of Mount Union, and a 15-year-old Mount Union male were cited for criminal trespass.

The 15-year-old was released to his parents.

Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown

Furnishing drug-free urine – 4:15 p.m. – Dec. 11 – Aaron Christopher Dorward, 31, was charged with one count of furnishing drug-free urine, according to a report from Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown.

Probation requires Dorward to supply a urine sample. The urine sample would be tested to show if there were any drugs in Dorward’s system. Doward taped a bottle filled with drug-free urine to his body. When he was to urinate into a container, he poured the bottle into it instead.

Pennsylvania State Police Newport

Hit and run – 12:30 a.m. – Dec. 8 – A hit and run crash occurred on Market Street in Millerstown Borough, Perry County, according to a report from Pennsylvania State Police Newport.

Jamie L. Yoder, 32, of Millerstown, was driving a 2008 Mercury Mountaineer and was hit by another vehicle. The vehicle then fled the scene.

Yoder’s car sustained minor damage.

Yoder was not wearing a seat belt and was not injured in the crash.

Criminal mischief – 2:19 p.m. – Dec. 13 – A 24-year-old male,, of McVeytown dented a vehicle belonging to someone else, according to a report from Pennsylvania State Police Huntingdon.

Harassment – 1:37 p.m. – Dec. 7 – An incident of harassment occurred at 9 W. Sherman St., Mount Union, according to a report from Pennsylvania State Police Huntingdon.

Michael Bair, 37, of Mount Union, punched Kristina Bair, 38, of Mount Union, in the back, which caused her to fall onto the floor.

Defiant trespass – 8:28 a.m. – Sept. 29 – Jimi Thompson, 24, of Mount Union, was cited for defiant trespass, according to a report from the Mount Union Police Department.

Thompson was cited after he allegedly had been served a no trespass order for a Housing Authority Property on South Division Street, Mount Union.

Theft – 6:53 a.m. – Dec. 3 – Police are investigating the theft of a Christmas decoration from the front porch of a residence at 402 Harvard Street, Lewistown, according to a report.

The stolen item was a wooden snowman which stands about 3 feet high. The words ‘freezin season’ are written on the belly of the snowman. An item matching the description of the stolen decoration was listed on a website associated with Facebook.

Police are asking anyone who knows of the whereabouts of or may have purchased an item matching the description of this decoration over the last few days to call 248-1900, ext. 613.

Disorderly conduct – 12:20 a.m. – Sept. 28 – One woman was arrested following a report of an intoxicated individual at an East Shirley Street business, according to a report from the Mount Union Police Department.

At the business, police found Cameron Mease, 25, of Mount Union, intoxicated and discovered that there were outstanding warrants from Mifflin County for her arrest. Mease was lodged in the Huntingdon County Jail.
