State College firm marks 50 years

STATE COLLEGE — PennTerra Engineering marked its 50th anniversary Wednesday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by employee-owners and local officials.

Founded in 1976 and employee-owned since 2016, the land development firm has contributed to projects across Centre County and the region, including retail, residential, commercial and mixed-use developments.

“For 50 years, our success has come down to the relationships we’ve built with our clients and the level of care our team members put into the plans,” said company President John Sepp.

Officials credited the firm with helping shape economic development and community projects in the area. U.S. Rep. Glenn Thompson and Centre County Commissioner Mark Higgins both cited PennTerra’s role in regional growth and infrastructure.

The company employs more than 40 people and plans additional events throughout the year to mark the milestone.

Starting at $2.99/week.
