HUNTINGDON — Penn Highlands Healthcare and two of its hospitals have received several prestigious awards and accreditations, the health system announced.

For the fifth consecutive year, Penn Highlands Healthcare was recognized as one of Pennsylvania Business Central’s Top 100 Organizations, highlighting its contributions to the region’s economy, social progress and philanthropy. The list is selected by subscribers of Pennsylvania Business Central.

Penn Highlands Brookville earned two awards this year. It received the 2025 Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania Donate Life Pennsylvania Hospital Challenge Platinum Designation for promoting organ, eye and tissue donation. The hospital also received the 2025 Crothall Healthcare Fiscal Year Quarter 1 HCAPHPS Challenge Award, which recognizes Environmental Services teams for excellence in patient satisfaction and maintaining clean, safe environments.

Penn Highlands Mon Valley was named one of America’s 250 Best Hospitals for Overall Clinical Excellence by Healthgrades for 2026. The designation recognizes hospitals in the top 1% to 5% nationwide for consistent, superior outcomes across 31 common procedures and conditions, with patients at these facilities facing a lower risk of death and complications.
