DEAR DR. ROACH: I am having trouble finding a reliable recommendation for the daily supplement zinc. I purchased 50-mg pills, but I think this may be too much. I am 74 and female, and I would like to include zinc in my daily supplements, as my hair has begun thinning quite a bit, straight down the top of my head. –– R.M. NEW BREMEN, Ohio (AP) — In a former hotel here in rural, western Ohio is a museum offering more than two centuries of bicycle history, from early high-wheelers to candy-hued 1960s Sting Rays. Pies in the skies

Who likes to bake pies? It’s one of my favorite hobbies. Making a sweet creation out of simple ingredients. Also, rolling out pie crusts is relaxing. This week, I’m featuring a few of my favorites along with their recipes. Black raspberry custard is a favorite! • 1 9-inch pie crust • 2 eggs • ½ cup sugar • 3 tbsp flour mixed together • 1 cup black raspberries • 2 cups milk Beat all ingredients together except for raspberries.
