LEWISTOWN -- For nearly 70 years, the MifflinJuniata Concert Association has brought world-acclaimed live entertainment to the Juniata River Valley, powered entirely by volunteers who believe great music belongs in every community.
What began decades ago under Community Concerts has grown into a thriving partnership with Live On Stage, allowing the association to book national touring acts at prices local audiences can afford. All performances take place at the 1,300seat auditorium at Mifflin County High School in Lewistown, where audiences enjoy Broadway, classical, folk, pop, jazz and everything in between.
With five shows each season, the association continues its mission to support the arts and bring unrivaled performance quality. All concerts begin at 7 p.m.
Here is a glance at the five acts featured in this year's season, each offering a distinct style, story and musical experience:
Piano Men: Generations on Monday, Sept. 21
Piano Men: Generations brings a fatherson dynamic to the stage with Terry and Nick Davies performing the iconic music of Billy Joel and Elton John. Their show blends storytelling, humor and audience interaction, creating a high-energy tribute built around two generations of musicians.
Backed by a full band, the duo covers Joel favorites such as Piano Man, Movin' Out, Vienna, Miami 2017, Captain Jack and New York State of Mind, along with Elton John classics including Rocket Man, Tiny Dancer, Bennie and the Jets, Candle in the Wind and I'm Still Standing. They often perform medleys and occasionally take audience requests, adding spontaneity to each concert.
Their drummer, Mike Richau, is known for showstopping solos and stage presence that keeps crowds engaged. Touring extensively from 2025 through 2027, the group has performed in theaters, casinos, schools and performing arts centers across the country. Reviews consistently praise their musical quality, warmth, humor and multigenerational appeal, making Piano Men: Generations a standout tribute act with emotional resonance and fresh energy.
CelloVoci on Monday, Oct. 26
CelloVoci is a newly formed classical-crossover trio featuring internationally known cello vocal duo Branden James and James Clark alongside powerhouse singer Effie Passero, whose performances with American Idol and Postmodern Jukebox earned her millions of online views. Their concerts combine dazzling cello work, soaring tenor vocals, and Passero's bold, expressive voice, creating a blend of classical technique and pop-influenced arrangements.
The trio mixes emotional storytelling with lighthearted moments, offering audiences a program that can shift from cinematic intensity to heartfelt humor. Since forming during the pandemic, CelloVoci has toured across the United States and Mexico, released their collaborative album Happy Days and made their Carnegie Hall debut in October 2024. Their upcoming schedule includes performances in Australia, Mexico, Bulgaria, Greece, France and numerous U.S. cities.
Branden James, a finalist on America's Got Talent, brings vocal and piano expertise, while Australian cellist James Clark adds orchestral depth shaped by collaborations with Olivia NewtonJohn, Bernadette Peters and Idina Menzel. Passero's dynamic stage presence completes the trio, making CelloVoci a fresh, genreblending act with global reach.
Simply Three on Thursday, Nov. 12
Simply Three is a modern instrumental trio redefining classical crossover with cinematic flair and genrebending creativity. Founded in 2010 by bassist Nicholas Villalobos and cellist Zack Clark, the group has built a massive global following with innovative string arrangements of hits by Adele, Coldplay, Billie Eilish, OneRepublic and more.
Their viral music videos have earned more than 330 million views on YouTube, 100 million streams on Spotify and 440 million streams on Pandora, making them one of the most-watched instrumental groups in the world. Their discography includes 10 albums, two of which feature original compositions that blend pop, rock, EDM and hiphop influences with classical training.
Simply Three's live shows are known for technical virtuosity, modern edge, and emotional storytelling, often selling out theaters and performing for major brands such as American Express, Microsoft, YouTube and The Emmys Afterparty. Praised by artists like OneRepublic and Janelle Monáe, the trio continues to push boundaries and inspire new audiences across genres and continents.
The Lubben Brothers on Saturday, March 6, 2027
The Lubben Brothers bring an American folk tradition shaped by lyrical sensitivity, rich harmonies and the easy banter only siblings can share. Michael, Josh and Tom grew up on a goat farm in a family of six brothers, weaving their colorful upbringing into songs that blend storytelling with multiinstrumental flair.
Now based in Nashville, Tennessee, they have performed more than 1,000 shows across the United States, including appearances at The Gardens Hockey Arena in Minnesota, the Broward Center for the Performing Arts in Florida and the iconic Bluebird Cafe in Nashville. Their music has been featured on NPR's Live from Here, in the Netflix film Love Hard, and in numerous TV and radio programs nationwide.

The Dreamboats on Saturday, April 3, 2027
The Dreamboats deliver a lively, nostalgic celebration of 1950s and 1960s rock 'n roll, drawing inspiration from Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry, Buddy Holly and The Beatles. This Canadian quartet brings vintage flair and high-energy performance style to every show, blending classic hits with original songs influenced by the era.
