Happy Easter from the Kitchen! As many prepare for Easter this Sunday, I’ve been wondering what people around the world do for Easter celebrations. I talked with a few friends who gave me their ideas of Easter dinner and traditions. In an Italian home, there was a lot of food. Let’s get back to Library History. The library open house was in March 1975 with a mostly-unfinished basement. There were plans for a community room and there was at least one bathroom and a small staff break area but for the most part, the lower level was just cement blocks and a cement floor. Greetings of love, friends. Today, I’m praying things go a little smoother on the farm than yesterday. It’s that time of year...the calves are dropping daily. We had six born just this week. While the cow takes care of her newborn, usually, and all is good...not so much yesterday. We decided that this year, as the calves were born, we would band them immediately, as opposed to waiting til later and not being able to catch them. I want to write to you today about the doctrine of redemption. It is an important doctrine because it is the heart of the gospel. Why is it so important? Because as long as preachers leave out the issue of sin, the issue of guilt, the issue of eternal damnation, the debt incurred by violating the law of God, then the doctrine of redemption is lost.
