Tom leaves behind his loving wife of more than 62 years, Beverly (Taylor) Sechler, whom he married on June 13, 1964. Together, they shared a lifetime of love, devotion, and cherished memories.

In addition to his wife, Tom is survived by his son, Craig Sechler and his wife, Christa, of Warriors Mark; his daughter-in-law, Tamara Sechler, of Lewistown; his cherished grandchildren, Dylan Sechler and his wife, Evelyn, Malik Sechler and his wife, Lauryn, Madyson Brewster and her husband, Xander, Kiana Sechler and Josiah Sechler; and his sisters, Judy Spagnoletti, of Yeagertown, and Susan Crosson, of Granville.

Tom proudly and honorably served his country in the United States Army, a reflection of his dedication and commitment to serving others.

A proud graduate of Lewistown High School, Class of 1962, Tom went on to build a life marked by hard work, determination, and an entrepreneurial spirit. In 1972, he co-founded Complete Floor Covering. He later had the special opportunity to work alongside his son, Scot, as they owned and operated Sechler Flooring together. For Tom, his work was more than a livelihood; it was an opportunity to build lasting relationships and share his knowledge and passion with his family.

Tom was a member of Word of Life Church in McAlevys Fort, where his faith remained an important part of his life.

An avid outdoorsman, Tom found great joy in the simple pleasures of nature. Whether casting a fishing line or spending time hunting, he was happiest surrounded by the beauty and peacefulness of the outdoors. One of his most treasured places was his son Craigás cabin in Stormstown, which he affectionately referred to as “Dad’s Dream.” It was a place that held a special meaning in his heart, offering countless opportunities to enjoy the outdoors and make lasting memories with those he loved.

Above all, Tomás life was one of devotion to his family, pride in his work, and appreciation for the moments that mattered most. The memories he created, the lessons he shared, and the love he gave will remain a lasting part of the lives of those who knew and loved him.

In keeping with Tomás wishes, private services will be held at a later date. As a special tribute to his life and his love for the outdoors, his family will plant a tree in his memoryäa living reminder of the roots he established, the life he nurtured, and the legacy he leaves behind.
