Martha L. Snyder, 97, of Lewistown, entered into the arms of her Lord an Saviour, Jesus Christ on Oct. 3, 2026, at William Penn Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
Born March 8, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Emory and Elsie (Swisher) McMaster.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Carl, who passed away in May of 2018; as well as 13 siblings.
Martha is survived by her brother, Larry McMaster, of Burnham as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Although she was never blessed with children of her own, she was like a second mother to many of her nieces and nephews and will be missed terribly by them all.
Early in life Martha worked at Bell Laundry and Cleaners in Lewistown. After marriage she first became a farmer's wife and then a dedicated housewife. She was a wonderful sister, especially to her twin, Margaret, and an awesome aunt to so many.
Martha enjoyed life immensely and loved having fun. She was most happy when she had a cup of coffee and was spending time with her family.
A visitation will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2026, at King-Barr Funeral Home, 120 Logan St, Lewistown, PA. The funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
