LEWISTOWN -- The decisions were simple for many Mifflin County voters who hit the polls Tuesday, as most races were uncontested.
Current Mifflin County Board of Directors president, Fredrick Nickel, was the top vote-getter in the school board race, earning 4,822 votes.
Other candidates who will serve Mifflin County residents for the next four-year term are Paula Dickson, who received 4,704 votes, Zeb Harshbarger, who received 4,645 votes, Noah Wise, who received 4,130 votes and E. Terry Styers, who received 4,043 votes. There were 30,776 total votes and 754 total write-ins.
Republicans Helen E. Kirk and Barbara E. Clemmons were the top two vote-getters for the county auditor's seat. Kirk received 5,295 votes and Clemmons received 5,022 votes.
Democrat Kentra Dunmire received 2,671 votes. There were 27 write-ins reported. There were 17,602 total votes cast.
In the judge of the Mifflin County Court of Common Pleas race, Jonathan Reed, a crossfiled candidate, received 7,767votes. The seat also received 164 write-ins. Reed had no opponents in this race.
In the Mifflin County District Attorney race, Christopher Torquato, a crossfiled candidate, received 7,487votes. The seat received 73 write-ins. Torquato also had no opponents.
In the Magisterial District Judge 58-3-01 seat, cross-filed candidate Craig Weston received 1,607 of 1,806 total votes. The seat received 4 write-in votes. Weston was unopposed.
In the Mifflin County Commissioners race, Democrat Kevin Kodish received 3,566 votes, Republican Noah Wise received 5,185 votes and Republican Robert Postal received 5,381 votes. There were 83 write-ins and 14,215 total votes cast.
In the county coroner seat, unopposed Andrea Alcalde, a crossfiled candidate, received 7,767 votes. There were 93 write-ins.
Unopposed candidate Tammy Stuck received 7,726 votes for the prothonotary seat. There were 30 total write-ins cast.
Republican Jeffrey H. Hoover and cross-filed candidate Curtiss A. Whitsel were the top vote-getters for the Mount Union Area School District Region 1 school director seat.
Hoover received 426 of 1,163 total votes, while Whitesel received 397. Democrat Lee R. Forgy received 270 votes. There were also 70 write-in votes for school director.
In the state races, Republican Carolyn Carluccio received 6,308 Mifflin County votes for Justice of the Supreme Court, while Democrat Daniel McCaffery received 2,253 votes. There were 7 write-ins.
Republican Maria Battista and Republican Harry F. Small were the top two vote getters for the Judge of the Superior Court, according to unofficial results. Battista received 5,672 votes and Small received 5,037 votes. Democrat Jill Beck received 2,178 votes and Democrat Timika Lane received 1,664. There were 7 write-ins.
In the race for the Judge of the Commonwealth Court, Republican Megan Martin received 6,410 votes while Democrat Matt Wolf received 2,082 votes. There were 6 write-ins.
Unofficial election results show that 8,801 voters cast their votes. The results state that 7,033 voters went to the polls on election day, while 1,768 turned in their votes via mail.
