MIDDLEBURG -- Frank Canepa, 43, of Middleburg, pleaded guilty Jan. 3 to one count accident involving personal injury, according to court documents.
Documents state that Canepa was charged with 16 criminal counts in May, for verbally harassing and injuring a former employer with his vehicle. Canepa had worked for, and was terminated by, a male victim according to court documents.
The victim told police that Canepa had been harassing him, following him and driving slowly past his residence, as well as past his child's daycare, court documents state. The victim further reported that Canepa was observed on the same day driving and yelling obscenities from his vehicle window, while the victim was talking behind his residence with a neighbor, then later, driving towards him while he was with his girlfriend and 13 month old child in the same vicinity. The victim said Canepa aimed for him, despite having room to go around him, and struck his left leg, causing the victim to be thrown into his girlfriend, who was holding the child, which further caused them both to fall towards a shed and almost caused the baby to fall into the shed, according to court documents.
Documents indicate that Canepa's sentence date is pending the results of a pre-sentence investigation.
