JVB appoints Seaman as vice president
MIFFLINTOWN -- Juniata Valley Financial Corp., parent company of The Juniata Valley Bank, announces the appointment of Barbara I. Seaman as vice president, community office manager and relationship manager of the Port Royal and Blairs Mills offices.
Seaman joined The Juniata Valley Bank in 1983 at the McAlisterville office. Since that time, she time has proficiently fulfilled a variety of responsibilities with the bank. Beginning as a part-time teller, she became a full-time teller, loan department operations manager and then moved to the Millerstown office to serve as the customer service officer. In 2004, Seaman accepted the position of vice president/community office manager at the Port Royal office and in 2016, she assumed the responsibilities of relationship manager. This most recently-announced promotion grants her oversight of both the Port Royal office and the Blairs Mills office.
Seaman is a 1998 graduate of Central Atlantic Advanced School of Banking and a 2000 graduate of AIB General Banking.
Seaman is part of the leadership team at New Harvest Community Church and on the policy council at Juniata County Head Start.
Seaman resides in McAlisterville with her husband, David, and enjoys gardening and traveling.
Pulmonologist joins J.C. Blair medical staff
HUNTINGDON - J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon announced the appointment of pulmonologist Dr. Robert Gillio, to its medical staff. Dr. Gillio will serve as the medical director for the health system's new Pulmonary Care Center in which he will oversee a new program of lung disease education, prevention, screening, diagnosis and treatment. Fellowship trained at the Mayo Clinic, he brings years of clinical experience, having practiced in Pittsburgh, Lancaster, and Penn State Hershey. He complements pulmonologist Dr. Jeff Ratner and Physician Assistant Steve Smith, who also practice at J.C. Blair Hospital in Huntingdon.
He earned his medical degree in Chicago at the Rush Medical College after graduating from Lawrence University in Appleton, Wis.. He completed an internal medicine residency, a pulmonology and critical care fellowship and a research fellowship in lung cancer therapeutics at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. He is board certified in internal medicine and pulmonary medicine and is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania. He also trained in sleep medicine and helped to create the sleep lab at Lancaster General Hospital.
Dr. Gillio's new Pulmonary Care Center office is on the second floor of the hospital, Suite 202, along with the Cardiac Care Center where he welcomes new patients requiring pulmonary and sleep consultations. He will serve as the medical director of the hospital's Pulmonary Care Center and staff who provides pulmonary function testing, sleep testing and pulmonary rehabilitation. He will also oversee the hospital's new low dose CT screening for lung cancer and, in the near future, will be performing diagnostic and therapeutic bronchoscopies and CT guided needle biopsies, thoracentesis and pleural disease management. He also looks forward to developing a successful tobacco cessation program, offering lung cancer support and being a part of the hospital's new palliative care program. In addition, he is leading J.C. Blair's population health and innovation initiatives.
Dr. Gillio lives in Huntingdon and is married with four grown daughters.

Legradi promoted
at Kish Bank
REEDSVILLE - Kish Bank has announced the promotion of Ashley Legradi, personal banker, to assistant branch manager. Legradi will be located at Kish's Belleville Financial Center, where she will work with Dave Coble, vice president and branch manager, to oversee the management of the Belleville and future Allensville locations.
Legradi began her career at Kish as a customer service teller at the Electric Avenue branch in Lewistown in 2008. In 2013, she was promoted to deposit operations specialist at the Reedsville Financial Center. She then transitioned to the Reedsville branch in 2016 as a personal banker and was awarded the retail operations associate designation in March of this year.
Legradi lives in Lewistown with her husband, Nathan, and their son, Seiler.
