Oct. 20, 21, 27, 28 -- 7-11 p.m., Gym of Terror, 49 Nathan's Lane, Lewistown. Event benefits the Fame Pa Lewistown All Star Cheerleading squad. Adults, $10; students, $8; and $2 for the kids maze.
Oct. 25 -- 7 p.m., Halloween Parade, downtown Lewistown; pre-registration is required starting at 5 p.m. at the intersection of Chestnut Street and South Pine Road.
Oct. 26 -- 7 p.m., Millerstown Lions Club annual Halloween Parade. Forming at 6:30 p.m. behind Greenwood High School; cash prizes. The parade will move down Sunbury Street to the Square, proceed up Market to Millerstown Motors, turn right up to the Millerstown United Methodist Church, turn right onto High Street and turn back on to Sunbury Street and return to the high school, where it will disband.
Oct. 27 -- 5-7 p.m., Downtown Safe Night Trick or Treat, sponsored by Downtown Lewistown, Inc.
Oct. 28 -- McVeytown Lions Chicken Pie Dinner and Parade. Along with chicken pies, there will be hot dogs, barbecue, french fries, homemade desserts and more. Meal begins at 3 p.m. at the McVeytown Fire House. Parade registration starts at 5 p.m. at the McVeytown Library and moves out at 6 p.m. There are six categories for prizes, plus each receives a ticket to win $50. Oct. 28 -- Annual Halloween Party/Parade, East Waterford. Parade forms at the American House, across from Long's Store. Registration starts at 5 p.m.; parade at 6 p.m; ends at Lack Tuscarora EMS building with prizes for costumes and a party. Free.
Oct. 28 -- Members' Adult Halloween Party, 8-11 p.m., American Legion Post No. 298 of Mifflintown. Music by "The Remnants." Prizes will be awarded for the best costumes. Bring a covered dish. The theme is pirates.
Oct. 28 --7-9 p.m. (entrance gate will close at 8:30 p.m.), Little Buffalo Haunted Hayrides, Little Buffalo State Park, Newport, at the park's swimming pool area. Donations accepted. Food stand. More information: (717) 567-9255.

Oct. 29 -- 13 Creepy Critters, 2 p.m., visitor center at Greenwood Furnace State Park. Guests will take a look at 13 animals found in Pennsylvania associated with Halloween or that people consider scary. In reality, these animals are beneficial to the environment. Guests will learn about each animals' role in nature.
Oct. 29 -- 4-5 p.m., Trunk or Treat; 5-6:30 p.m., spaghetti dinner; and 6:30 p.m., talent show, McVeytown United Methodist Church.
Oct. 29 -- 6-8 p.m., Trunk or Treat, Evangel Baptist Church, 375 W. Fifth St., Lewistown
Oct. 31 -- 5:30-7:30 p.m., Reedsville United Methodist Church, 60 E. Logan St., Reedsville, trick or treat on the porch of the Christian Education building right next door to the church. Candy and hot chocolate will be handed out and a prize drawing will take place.
Oct. 31 -- 5:30-7:30 p.m., Church Hill United Methodist Church, 199 Woodland Circle, Reedsville, trunk or treat. All are invited and hot dogs and hot chocolate will be served. Enter for a chance to win a prize. If you would like to decorate your car and participate, call (717) 667-3778.
Oct. 31 -- 6-8 p.m., Halloween Safe Night, Burnham Lions Building, Burnham
Oct. 31 -- Light Up the Night 2017, 6-8 p.m. in the Thompsontown United Methodist Church parking lot. This fun carnival-type event is open to all children or trick-or-treaters in the Thompsontown area with games for ages 3-13. There will be a design-your-own cupcake station, a hayride, movies, a scavenger hunt, plus plenty of glo-games and activities. There will also be hot dogs, cider, and hot chocolate. Oct. 31 -- 6-8 p.m., Light the Night, Belleville Community Hall. Games and refreshments for the whole family. Sponsored by Watts Memorial United Methodist Church and Rockville Fellowship.
