It is time for the community meal again. September 11, 2026, between 11:30 and 12:30, Pine Glen Church of the Brethren will resume serving meals. The menu is a grilled ham and cheese sandwich, homemade tomato soup, and dessert. Come out and enjoy a great meal and fellowship, and as always, eat-in only.
In the morning worship at Pine Glen Church of Brethren, Sunday, August 23, 2026, a friendly welcome to each of you to our worship service today! May the Lord open your hearts and minds today and every day. Worship leader Pastor Connie Maclay welcomed everyone. The announcements were asked for. Jill Miller played the Prelude: "Precious Lord, take my hand". The joys and concerns were asked for. The congregation sang a prayer hymn, "Lord, with devotion we pray". The Worship Leader provided the Morning Prayer, followed by the Lord's Prayer and the Doxology. Special music was provided by Doug, Kaitlyn, and Allison Snyder singing "Gratitude". The children came down singing "Jesus Loves Me" to the children’s story, provided by Sharon Grassmyer. This Sunday, the music and message were brought by Chiz Rider. The choral benediction was "Thou true Vine, that heals".
In the morning worship at McVeytown Presbyterian Church on August 23, 2026, the service started with the welcome and the sharing of the joy. The Prelude was played. Call to Worship was heard. The congregation sang hymns, "I Worship the King". Prayer was heard. The congregation sang the prayer hymn "Spirit of the Living God". The Pastoral Prayer was heard, followed by the Lord's Prayer. The congregation sang a hymn, "Only Trust Him". Scripture was Psalm 107:1-22. An Artistic Offering: Loren and Donna Rhodes, "How Great Thou Art," arranged by Joel Raney. Scripture was Psalm 107:33-43. The sermon was on God's unfailing love. The service continued with the call for the offering, followed by the Doxology and prayer of dedication. The congregation sang "I have decided to follow Jesus". The benediction was given. The postlude was played.
