The U.S. Small Business Administration’s Eastern Pennsylvania District Office announces its 2025 Small Business Week Award Winners. The SBA’s Eastern Pennsylvania Small Business Awards winners are selected from among nominees located across Pennsylvania’s eastern 40 counties. The local recognition is part of the annual, Presidentially-designated National Small Business Week.
During National Small Business Week, taking place May 4 – May 10, 2025, the U.S. Small Business Administration recognizes and awards outstanding entrepreneurs, small business owners, and others from around the country. The Eastern Pennsylvania District Small Business Week Award winners are:
• Eastern Pennsylvania Small Business Person of the Year: Nancy Martindell, President/CEO, JMA Resources, Inc., located in Mechanicsburg; nominated by Sue Engels, VP of Growth and Client Experience, JMA Resources, Inc.
• Eastern Pennsylvania and Mid-Atlantic Region Women’s Business Center Excellence and Innovation Award: Women’s Business Enterprise Center East (WBEC-East), located in Philadelphia; Women’s Business Center Director Allie Mullins; nominated by Taylor Tolton-Kain, Development & Outreach Manager, WBEC-East
• Eastern Pennsylvania Entrepreneurial Success of the Year Award: MYNDDSET, located in Danville; Founder Mark Burke; nominated by Denny Hummer, Assistant Director, Bucknell University Small Business Development Center
• Eastern Pennsylvania Veteran-Owned Small Business of the Year: AEONRG, located in Downingtown; President/CEO William J. Belknap, Sr.
• Eastern Pennsylvania Woman-Owned Small Business of the Year: Unleashed
Counseling, located in Pottstown; Owner Annalisa Smithson
“It is an honor to recognize Eastern Pennsylvania’s outstanding small business owners,” SBA Acting Regional Administrator Dr. Kelly Hunt said. “Small businesses are the engine of our economy, driving innovation, job creation, and prosperity.”
“We celebrate National Small Business Week to recognize the critical contributions of America’s entrepreneurs and small business owners,” SBA Eastern Pennsylvania District Director Steven Dixel said. “Each business is exceptional and deserving of recognition as they have grown their business, created jobs, demonstrated resilience, ingenuity, and creativity; and contributed to the growth of their local communities and the economy.”
Recognition and educational events throughout SBA’s 68 District Offices will be held during the month of May.
