For the second atraight week, there's three nights of 410 sprint car action planned in the area.This evening it's a tune-up race at Port Royal. Tune up for what? The All Star Circuit of Champions invade next week for the Bob Weikert Memorial race.This evening's program will be run using the All Star race format, allowing drivers to time trial and prepare in the same manner that will be required for next week's show. Racing is in high gear in Central Pa.Tonight, Port Royal Speedway features 410 sprint cars, late models, econo lates and American outlaw cars. The Juniata County oval opened successfully last week despite cool weather. Aaron Ott outran Nate Snyder to record opening night sprint car honors. It was Ott's first career win at Port Royal. Mike Lupfer won the late model feature and Lewistown's Nate Gramley claimed the 305 sprint victory. Racing season begins

Weather permitting, racing starts today in this part of the state.Port Royal Speedway presents the first race of 2015 at 5 pm. with 410 and 305 sprint cars joined by late models on a track that promises to be fast. The first 200 children receive a chocolate Easter rabbit. Adult general admission patrons get a season schedule magnet. Winning race drivers will find added purse in the 410 sprint car and late model class. Cold cancels weekend at Port Royal

The week end is here, the weather is cold and Port Royal Speedway canceled both its programs this week. Speedway management has scheduled a practice session Wednesday from 6-9 p.m. Racing begins Saturday at 5 p.m. with 410 and 305 sprint cars plus super late models.Lincoln Speedway had not canceled today's program as this was being prepared.
