DeSa gets Goaltender of the Week honors

BOSTON – The Atlantic Hockey Association named Penn State women’s ice hockey senior Katie DeSa Goaltender of the Week on Tuesday afternoon. It is the 12th time in her career receiving the award, and the third time this season. DeSa put together another dominant weekend in goal for the Nittany Lions, posting back-to-back shutouts over Robert Morris stopping all 31 shots she faced. UNIVERSITY PARK – Penn State women’s basketball soars to an 83-55 season opening victory over Bucknell. The Lady Lions improve to 51-13 in first games of the campaign while remaining undefeated against the Bison in the all-time series history. UNIVERSITY PARK — The Penn State men’s basketball team spent the final 3:28 on a 16-2 run, including 11 unanswered points in the final two minutes, to earn a gritty 76-68 season-opening victory over Fairfield Monday night inside the Bryce Jordan Center. UNIVERSITY PARK - Penn State women’s volleyball suffered a rare defeat to No. 24 Indiana 3-0 (25-22, 25-15, 25-23) in a Big Ten match Sunday at Rec Hall. The Nittany Lions fell to 13-9 overall and 7-5 in the conference, while the Hoosiers moved to 18-4, 9-3.
