UNIVERSITY PARK – Penn State Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Dr. Patrick Kraft announced the selection of Rob Dow as men’s soccer head coach. Among the Week 14 standouts included a running back who shined in primetime, a tight end who set multiple season highs and a veteran defensive tackle who helped his team’s comeback win. The Nittany Lions and Cowboys tangle on Saturday, Dec. 13, at 8 p.m. Eastern (6 p.m. local). Penn State defensive coordinator Jim Knowles is expected to be named the new DC at Tennessee, according to published reports. CBS college football writer Matt Zenitz confirmed Wednesday that Knowles, who spent one year on James Franklin’s staff as the highest paid coordinator in the country ($3.1 million per season for three years), would join the Volunteers’ staff.
