DiMarsico, McKenna earn Big Ten awards

ROSEMONT, Ill. – Junior Matt DiMarsico (Wexford, Pa.) and freshman Gavin McKenna (Whitehorse, Yukon) were named the B1G First Star of the Week and B1G Third Star of the Week, respectively, for their performances during a weekend sweep over Notre Dame as announced by the league office on Tuesday morning. Both players secure their second weekly accolade of the season as DiMarsico was also named First Star on October 21 and McKenna was named Third Star on October 28. UNIVERSITY PARK - The Penn State women’s tennis team opened the 2026 spring season with two commanding victories on Sunday at the Indoor Tennis Center. The Nittany Lions opened the day with a 7-0 shutout against Villanova before a 6-1 result against Saint Francis. EVANSTON, Ill.– The Penn State Nittany Lion wrestling team (9-0, 3-0 B1G) shut out Northwestern (3-3, 1-2 B1G) in Big Ten road action Sunday afternoon in Evanston, Ill. Penn State won all ten bouts and picked up bonus points in each as it rolled to the 51-0 win. IOWA CITY, Iowa – The Penn State Nittany Lions (8-0, 2-0 B1G) dominated home-standing Iowa (8-3, 1-1 B1G) in a Big Ten dual meet in Iowa City on Friday night. Lions gear up for Saturday’s indoor track meet

UNIVERSITY PARK – The Penn State track & field team is set host its first indoor meet of the 2025-26 season on Saturday afternoon, hosting several universities in the surrounding Pennsylvania and Maryland area.
