Lions make IWLCA Academic Honor Roll

UNIVERSITY PARK – On Wednesday afternoon, seven Nittany Lions were named to the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Division I Academic Honor Roll with the team being named an IWLCA Academic Honor Squad. Junior Lily Strohecker, seniors Emily Bette, Erika Ho, Lauren Tinson and Payton Wainman along with graduate students Julia Basciano and Anna Salerno were all named to the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll. WILLIAMSPORT– Justin Journette capped a three-homer sixth inning for the State College Spikes with the longest of them all, a 467-foot, two-run shot that was the longest ever hit in MLB Draft League play, as the Spikes defeated the Williamsport Crosscutters, 8-5, on Tuesday night at Journey Bank Ballpark at Historic Bowman Field. ROSEMONT, Ill. – Penn State student-athletes Mark McKeon of men's lacrosse and Katelyn Roberts of women's ice hockey were among the 36 honorees named Big Ten Outstanding Sportsmanship Award winners for the 2025-26 academic year, as announced by the conference office Thursday.
