THIS WEEK'S MATCHUP

This week marks the 13th meeting between the two programs and the first since January 11, 2020. Penn State leads the all-time series 8-4-0 and has won six-straight outscoring RMU 38-17 over that stretch averaging 6.33 goals per contest. The Nittany Lions are 3-1-0 against the Colonials in Hockey Valley including a 3-0-0 mark at Pegula Ice Arena as the lone loss on home ice came at Greenberg Ice Pavilion during Penn State's inaugural Division I season.

Penn State is 0-3 to open the season for just the second time in program history and first time since the 2020-21 season.

The Nittany Lions are 53-18-2 all-time against Atlantic teams, but 0-1-0 so far this season following their loss to Sacred Heart at the Ice Breaker Tournament.

SCOUTING BOBBY MO

Robert Morris is 0-4-0 to begin the season and are averaging just 1.25 goals per game while allowing 3.75 on the other end.

The Colonials are in their fourth season following the rebirth after the program was dropped for the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons.

Bobby Mo posted a 16-21-3 record last season collecting its most wins since the program was reestablished after two years away.

Robert Morris returns three of its top five scorers from last season's squad, however, they are without the services of their leading scorer, Tanner Klimpke, who transferred to the University of Maine after leading the Colonials with 16 goals and 31 points in 40 games last season.

Jackson Reineke is the team's returning scoring leader as he finished second on the team with 11 goals and 15 assists for 26 points a season ago and has two assists through the first four games this season.

Charlie Schenkel returns between the pipes for the Colonials after posting an 11-15-3 record with a .909 save percentage and a 2.80 goals-against average in 30 starts last season as a freshman. The big 6-6 goaltender has started all four games so far this season going 0-4-0 with a .906 save percentage and a 3.87 goals-against average.

Robert Morris ranks 54th out of 57 teams that have began play this season in shots per game averaging just 20.25 over the first four contests.

2026-27 AUDIO BROADCASTS
