UNIVERSITY PARK -- Championship Weekend in the National Football League saw three Penn State football alums compete for three teams, with two alums (one representing each team) competing in their first Super Bowls.
Seattle long snapper Chris Stoll helped his team advance to Super Bowl LX by playing 10 snaps, all on special teams, in the Seahawks' 31-27 win over the Los Angeles Rams. Stoll's performance propelled the Seahawks to their first Super Bowl in 11 years and his first since joining the Seahawks before the 2023 season.
Former Nittany Lions offensive tackle Caedan Wallace will also be playing for a Super Bowl after the Patriots defeated Denver, 10-7. Wallace is currently on the practice squad but has appeared in four games for New England, all in December.
Wallace and Stoll reaching the Super Bowl ensures a former Penn State player will get the program’s 66th Super Bowl ring, with at least one Nittany Lion appearing in 55 out of the 60 Super Bowls.
Rams linebacker Jesse Luketa was also on the practice squad for Championship Weekend, not suiting up in Los Angeles' loss to the Seahawks.
Three former Penn State players will be suiting up in the Pro Bowl Games on February 3, one on all three phases. Indianapolis rookie tight end Tyler Warren earned his first Pro Bowl appearance after an impressive debut season where he finished third among all rookies in receiving yards (817).
Green Bay defensive lineman Micah Parsons collected his fifth consecutive Pro Bowl appearance and his first since joining the Packers. Parsons continued his streak of recording at least 12 sacks in every season during 2025 (finishing with 12.5), while adding 41 tackles and 12 tackles for loss.
Rounding out the trio of Pro Bowl-bound Nittany Lions is Baltimore punter Jordan Stout. He set new career-highs in yards per punt (50.1) and net yards per punt (44.9) in 2025, earning his first trip to the Pro Bowl and an Associated Press first-team All-Pro designation.
