Parsons, Warren make noise in NFL Week 4
UNIVERSITY PARK – Week Four in the National Football League saw 47 Penn State Football alums populate the rosters of 25 National Football League organizations and several players contributed aplenty across all three facets.
Green Bay defensive lineman Micah Parsons left a strong impression on his former Dallas teammates, recording three combined tackles, three quarterback hits and an overtime sack in the Packers’ tie with the Cowboys. The former Nittany Lion has 2.5 sacks through four games with his new team.
Indianapolis rookie tight end Tyler Warren delivered another standout performance in his team’s loss to the Rams. Warren caught five of his six targets for 70 yards, while also adding his first career rushing touchdown in the second quarter. Warren has 70 or more receiving yards in three of his first four games and his 263 receiving yards lead all NFL tight ends.
Two former Nittany Lions made their 2025 season debuts in Week Four. Tampa Bay receiver Chris Godwin caught three passes for 26 yards in the Buccaneers’ loss to Philadelphia and Tennessee linebacker Curtis Jacobs played nine snaps in the Titans’ loss to Houston.
In addition, two alums scored their first touchdown of the season. Giants tight end Theo Johnson caught a touchdown pass in New York’s win over the Chargers, while Jaguars wide receiver Parker Washington’s first score of 2025 came on a third-quarter punt return in Jacksonville’s win over the 49ers.
