Tigers’ season comes to a screeching halt

OLD FORGE — East Juniata’s boys basketball season came to an end on Saturday in the PIAA Class 2A tournament. Old Forge (19-6) rolled past EJ (10-16) in a 79-37 victory in the first round of the state boys basketball tourney. Forge possessed a 51-16 lead at halftime. The Blue Devils will meet Delaware County Christian (20-7) on Wednesday in the second round. Forge has only one loss since Jan. 29. Ross named East Pitcher of the Week

LOCK HAVEN – Lock Haven softball’s Talia Ross was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division Pitcher of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday (March 9). Ross was outstanding in the circle for three straight days for Lock Haven. The sophomore won all three starts, while striking out 8.5 hitters per game. On Friday, Ross went 7.2 innings, struck out nine, didn’t allow a run and surrendered just two hits at Tusculum. PSU baseball heads to Georgetown

TYSONS, Va. – The Penn State baseball team visits Georgetown for a pair of midweek contests on Tuesday, March 10 and Wednesday, March 11. Both games are slated to start at 4 p.m. at Capital One Park. Both contests will be streamed on MuscoVision. Penn State, led by head coach Mike Gambino, is 4-9 this season and looks to bounce back after falling in three games at Texas Tech last weekend.
