Carey hauls in USA U20 javelin crown

EUGENE, Ore. – Rising sophomore Nolan Carey of the Penn State track and field team earned a spot on Team USA for the World Under-20 Championships after winning the USA U20 javelin title Thursday afternoon at Hayward Field. Carey claimed the national title with a throw of 66.38m. Carey recorded the mark on his second attempt in the preliminary round, and it remained unbeaten through the final. HARRISBURG — The Pennsylvania Game Commission is again asking the public to report sightings of all wild turkeys they see this summer. The annual Wild Turkey Summer Sighting Survey runs July 1 through Aug. 31. Public participation is important for wild turkey population management.
