HUNTINGDON — The Pennsylvania Game Commission plans to conduct controlled burning operations, weather permitting, on State Game Lands in the Southcentral Region this week. Among the area where burns are planned is State Game Lands 107 in Mifflin and Juniata counties. Lands in Centre and Bedford counties are also slated for controlled burns. Fishing regulations lifted on York County lake
YORK — The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission is alerting anglers that it has temporarily lifted all seasons, sizes and creel limits on Lake Williams, York County, in anticipation of the York Water Company’s plans to drain the lake and repair the dam. “We have temporarily lifted the regulations in order to reduce the number of fish in the lake in advance of a complete drawdown of the lake and a fish salvage,” said Kris Kuhn, Chief of the PFBC Division of Fisheries Management. “We want anglers to fish the water and make good use of as many fish as they can.” York Water ...
